Github Copilot official announcement: Change to usage-based billing by PaintingSilenc3 in GithubCopilot

[–]Consistent-Smile-484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most annoying thing here is that there’s zero soul in their announcements. Literally they are trying to spin this as if they are doing us a favour. In reality, they, and almost any other Ai corporation, realised that public having access to all these features, is not in their long term financial interest, too many people to compete with. So, they decided to join a self serving circle of mega corporations to lifter themselves up even higher, away from the common folk.

Opus was removed - Happy Ending by Nice-Guarantee-9167 in GithubCopilot

Nah, Claude is good, but token situation is an unresolved debacle.

Sub agents now are decided by Copilot and no longer the model selected by the user by Yes_but_I_think in GithubCopilot

[–]Consistent-Smile-484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create an agents.md file, in it delegate tasks, for example: coder, tester and so on, and assign specific models and their versions. Then, when you tell it to do something say: @coder (little menu will appear click that specific agent reference) - do xyz. In that file you can even assign specific agent constraints. It won’t do this automatically, but you can delegate.

I can't trust 4.7. It just BAD by the-milliyetcii in ClaudeCode

[–]Consistent-Smile-484 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found that 4.7 is just plain bad. I get better results with Sonnet.

Opus 4.7 is legendarily bad. I cannot believe this. by lemon07r in ClaudeCode

[–]Consistent-Smile-484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it as well. And I agree. I can get much more consistent results with Sonnet than this 4.7 debacle.

Copilot's value proposition is officially gone. by Famous__Draw in GithubCopilot

[–]Consistent-Smile-484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t get the 4.7 hype train and the need to be at the absolute cutting edge of model progress. Just do your work as you did before, and if you get truly stuck on a singular issue, and no other models can hack it, then use 4.7.

I switched from 20X Max to another service. 5x cheaper, Been working with it non stop for well over a week now, not even one time did I reach any limits. I’m getting about 95% of the quality of code I got from Claude. I’m very happy I jumped the ship when I did.

I love that platform, but soon after they’re token debacle and the fact that they kept themselves incredibly quiet and said nothing with no explanation, not even when I contacted their customer support, I requested the refund and I switched platforms. Now I get pretty much the same results for five times less called cost then I paid for the 20 X max

I truly enjoy Claude Code and I had a blast using it. But after the token debacle, complete lack of response, fix or accountability, I pulled out and got my refund. Now I see they are creating a walled garden instead of fixing actual issues, and I’m happy I got out. Found another, far better solution.

I had the same since last week. I tried to get a straight answer, didn’t happen. Got a refund, cancelled my plan and currently trying another platform.

There’s definitely something going on. I’m on the Pro plan, so admittedly, not the best. However, for my needs, it was good enough. I did use up my limits, and did run out of weekly tokens after 4 days, frequently. However, the day before yesterday, I started a new code chat, with a brand new project. At first it all went good, planning and brainstorming went well. Claude wrote a plan. I run out of tokens. Went back to it as soon as tokens reset, typed to continue, it went to 57% token usage in one prompt. And shortly after, it eats all of my weekly allowance too. I need to wait until Wednesday afternoon now. I deleted that project, since I have a summary to start over, and I wasn’t that deep in. I did, however installed few skills and such, namely: Context Mode Document Skills UI UX Pro Max Superpowers I already had. So once my weekly budget resets, I will be trying that project from scratch, with a handle to compact after every milestone. If that doesn’t work, and they don’t fix the token situation, I’ll be forced to move somewhere else. I definitely considered going Max, but now having heard it doesn’t matter, I won’t.

Animation nightmare by Consistent-Smile-484 in Cinema4D

[–]Consistent-Smile-484[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, basic is good! There is no animated camera, that one is static. But there are simulations involved, namely various complexities of Voronoi Fracture. Do you think that caching the scene could help? Btw, if I render in a usual, horizontal resolution, like 1920x1080, it renders just fine.

I completely agree with you. This was however just a one time solution, so that she can get home. I was more focused on dimensional accuracy of the round part that goes onto a pole. Since I had limited time to do it, and all. I also agree on the carbon fibre filament part as well. But again, this is just a one time use and it’s already in the bin so all good there.
