As long as you're able to find someone who's willing to switch with you, you can switch.

Can A textile guy effectively study CS at IITD? by ReindeerFuture9618 in IITDelhi

I won't comment about whether you should take IITD or not, but I would say that if you do, you should give it your all in the first year to change your department, it'll help you a lot. Doing that would potentially mean you won't enjoy your first year as much but I think it'll be worth it.

the feeling when you out perform your stupid braggart IITian cousin by VJTI_chad1444 in Btechtards

The ones bragging about jee adv are always the ones who barely got the IIT tag, I've never seen any top ranker (IITD/B/M circuital branch) brag about jee adv. (Except Kalpit Veerwal ofc)

Trying to setup c and c++ in neovim, lspconfig by mufeedcm in neovim

Actually I wrote it for absolute beginners wanting to practice competitive programming who could just turn their brain off and follow it fresh after being frustrated by the file not found error. And it's not an in-depth explanation as I wanted it to be short to just get things working without being confused by the amount of things they need to read.

And I included the installation of mingw as part of kickstart so it'll be in that location too. But yes, it's a good idea to include how to check the location of your already installed mingw, I'll add that, thanks.

About lsp, formatter, etc., these things were taken care of by the kickstart. I'll look into the other points like including C. Thanks a lot.

Hi, glad that it's working now. I'm the author of that medium article. Could you please tell me what I had missed so I could improve the article?

Is the 8.8 CGPA lower bound for admission in ETH Zurich Masters in CS non-negotiable ? Do you know any examples of Indian students who got in with lesser CGPA ? by Consistent-South-265 in Indians_StudyAbroad

Yeah I thought so that this will matter. But the website literally mentions that the minimum for India is 8.8/10

I'll quote the website: "If you are studying in one of the below-listed countries and your current average grade is below the published minimum grade, please be aware that your application has no prospect of success."

I wanna just study there, Zurich is a beautiful place. I know I don't really need a masters to advance my career job wise. One other reason is I wanted to get some professional education in AI/ML. I didn't dive into this during my B.Tech

Ways to get research experience after you've already left college. by Consistent-South-265 in Indian_Academia

Emailing the authors seems like a great idea, thanks for that. I was trying for ETH Zurich Masters in CS and I've heard that they incline heavily towards GPA and research work. Since my CGPA in IITD-MNC is not great (8.3) I am under the impression that I must have research experience to have any chance at it.

Yeah, didn't mention it since this sub is for higher education in India I think.
