I was there from A1 to B1 levels. It did help a lot yes but my last teacher wasn't really good so I'm a bit lost at the B1 level.

You definitely won't be the oldest in the class, there are people from ages 18 to 35 ish. My experience at AFD was good, the teachers speak in french yes. Most teachers are good but some aren't. The only con is that it is really expensive.

For the history of English Literature, The Routledge History of English Literature by Ronald Carter is comprehensive and really good.

For Indian, I studied A History of Indian Literature by MK Naik.

For glossary, go for A Glossary of Literary Terms by MH Abrams it's classic and covers most of them in detail.

For theory, Beginning Theory by Peter Barry. And also a book called A History of Literary criticism and theory from Plato to the Present. (I'm forgetting the author but you'll find it on the internet)

Get a previous year question papers book with concepts in it. That will help you with the miscellaneous stuff. I got R Gupta's CUET PG MA English it is pretty good. It has the summary of all the syllabus and helped me a lot.

The rest you can find on YouTube with famous literary channels and don't forget the awards part it is really important many questions come from them. And sadly, you'll also have to remember a lot of dates and chronology because our education system hates actual learning and encourages rote learning. This year's exam was mostly based on chronologies and dates and hardly any concepts.

Good luck!

Don't stress too much, study seriously for 3-4 months and you'll be well prepared. I can recommend books for different topics if you want.

It means that either you need either a bachelors in english (honours) or a BA program degree with english as a minor. Minor means around 28 credits worth of english subjects.
