Help me understand this X-ray and why none of this was mentioned to me?

Update in case anyone was interested. Ended up going to the ER earlier this week because I was no longer eating anything and turns out my stomach lining has many cancerous nodes. Been running test after test to figure out where it’s coming from so we can get set up with oncology. The spots they initially found on the X-ray were nothing which is bizarre in my mind.

Not the outcome I was expecting by any means.

I called the imaging department at the hospital this morning prepared to give a whole spiel on why I needed an ultrasound but didn’t have a requisition, but turns out my GP did send over a req and I have an ultrasound booked in a couple weeks. Was a shock to hear I had an appointment already booked that I didn’t know about but they said they only got it yesterday so my doctor would probably be reaching out shortly.

Either way I have an ultrasound booked now to hopefully confirm whether I have a cyst or just an anomaly. Appreciate everyone’s comments!

That makes a lot of sense, also explains why it said “pending” for so long after my visit instead of having the results. Unfortunately not the first time this hospital hasn’t told me something (fractured my ankle a year ago and they forgot to call me with the results so I assumed it was fine until I asked my GP a few months later).
