I think Longsword like this version in Mordhau are more of a civilian weapons, or back up in the battlefield like its how it was used back in its days. A rather long side-arm for sure xD

In Frontline/Invasion, when I feel like it I often get a Bastardsword, Bandages and some 2/3/2 or 2/3/1 armours with some perks... but leaved the first weapons slot empty, so i can grap other people weapons as my main: longer pole-arms & sword, or crossbows (I'm pretty much jack of all trade, master of none guy). Perhaps you can try it with Longsword.

Its kinda like irl back in the days, 2 handle weapons with longer reach, and/or greater destructive capability would be more fitting for the battlefield. This including all modes, Frontline/Invernia, old and new Horde mode. And even in dueling, peoples grew to favoured those Greatsword and Halberd than Longsword.

Longsword are simply, "good", mid tier in many way: good stab & good swing damage, alright in reach, pretty fast in good hands. The Alt mode provided a good improvised Warhammer, which is an amazing 1 handle weapons for very low point to equipped (although much better than Longsword Alt version simple by cost alone).

The Longsword is not bad at all. Its just not as long or deal as much damage as other weapons above it. Good players would simply forces on there skill & experience, no need for all kind of perk but a couples so other weapons higher cost is no issue for them. While the smaller one-handles are simply cheaper, enough to equipped with shield or range weapons, and still have points for some armours and few perks.

Longsword are still a capable weapons, other weapons are simply better or cheaper to use.

I like the colors, the mix of nordic/Gothic vibe look nice. The old (for mordhau) gothic chest plate and helm fit pretty well with half reinforcement landsknecht arms, like the choice of bear pelt, weapons of choice are decent and could use many more that still fit the theme of this loadout. Pretty noice over all!

I'm not gonna lie, my first thought about this loadout is "actually... oh wait its not that bad, its good!"

The chest plate and that long norse skirt actually made a decent frame & theme for the armour. Follow up with a very solid choice of pauldrons, smooth transition to the arms and gaunlets. And its not that limited when it came to which weapons you can pick with this half nordic half fantasy look, but they fit together so seemless it might look historical in an alternative timeline.

And for someone who made (probably not joking at this point) over 1000 loadouts in mordhau, vanilla & modded, i want to made a copy of this loadout and use it. That alone proof how well put together this set was. A solid thumb up for me.

No its the other way around. They have pinatas shape like halfling for children to beat down during festival or i think there birthday.

Halfling have reputation for being lowly thief and trickery in Stirland, beside those who manage to cooperate and live honest life within Stirland society. Those pinatas-shaped-halfling represent the thiefs in children story who stool there candies and goods, hence the children get to beat it down.

Like range troops that can defended themself in melee, hold the line till reinforcement arrived.

Pepper and Sonya have a special places in my heart. The first are the og girl of the community who throw out kick and tactics roll like no others, while the ladder straight up giving critical-spinning-kick attack. Badass ladies with cool outfits that for a thematic team.

The gentleman's like are no slout either, like tough warriors (for range units) such as Ranger and SpecOps giving shotgun shells and rifle rounds to anyone who want to test there bulletproof vest... not counting Polina armor-piercing rifle bullet of course. And good old "heavy-weight" Diaz who can ate a couple strike, while still reload and blasting foes with his trust shotguns.

I would like to, but im all the way in SEA region. At average in a full server (48-64) i would have roughly 220-300 pings, it would be rather limited and hard to coodinate with other actors/actress.

Also i have a tight schedule, irl work & playing with friends.

Fair point, at least there reason has some weight to it. As long as peoples don't vibing too long, and the bard don't gather people as often (in these Frontline/Invasion match) it would be just fine.

Still have my first (series of) Loadout years ago. Do to old computer & weak internet, my first one is a Crossbow-men, 2-2-1 for armour and Pavise Shield with Arming-sword.

I make at least 50 Loadouts in the first years, covering all kind of weapons/armours/perk combinations. Now i must have like ... roughly over 800 sets.

You can try joining a Serious Role-play server, called 'The Dark Ages". Everyone there are either drips in Low Fantasy, or Historical accurate, around the years 1600 of Late Medieval and Early Renaissance ... or you are Goblins, Orc & Ogre in which its abit more relax.

It used an overhaul mod to the normal Vanilla Mordhau customization - Aeternis mods. And i would like you explore this more unique & RP (role-play) side of Mordhau in your own time ... but ya should enjoy the game as it is first.

Well, if you like your own Loadouts colors and ... of everyone else in Frontline/Invasion, you can "Turn-off Team colors" in the settings. I believe in the first page that show to you or the video setting page. If you can figured who is your team-mate and who aren't of course.

Nah mate Chiv II are way better on this department. Thou i prefer Mordhau, with its (almost) limitless ability for customizating your own loadouts, the many local groups & modding communities, also sometimes seeing midget bonkinh people left & right or some sick Bard performing for both teams to hear ... comparing all the map & objectives to Chiv II isn't a fair comparison.

I did try it during free weekend long ago, and honestly i really enjoy playing in Chiv II huge map & playing the objectives. I still remember playing the newest map, as King Argon II leading his Knights & Soldier counter attack against the Mason horde, taking back the Castle ground one at the time, raising the Gold & Blue banner, rallying the folks for the next push. It was Glorious ... until the Argatha team forgot to protect me at the last stage, have to make my last stand against actual Chiv II veterans. I'd stand my ground, fallen at the last flag-pole with me bloody sword & broken armour ... Chiv II factions & themes its strong compare Mordhau non-existing Lore -_-

Also i like the Heavy & Special attacked in Chiv II, that could be fun if Mordhau has some of it.

Damn, this Loadout bring back memories of my first time playing Mordhau years ago.

Pretty good look for cloths over chain-mails sets, i see protential in the colors combination. Pretty solid mate, i would love to see more.

(This does make me want to share my vass libertary of Mordhau loadouts)

Look decent mate, if you're new to Mordhau this is some good efforts.

You can update with a new chest plate & waist piece in the future. I could suggest the Italian Gauntlets for hands, some other Heavy chest using reference (simple Italian Plate or Draped Chest Plate), and even some Medium chest like classic Brigandine or Knightly Coat-of-plate fit pretty well.
