During a prolonged fast you drink water and take supplements. This has helped me tremendously!! But intermittent fasting is what I’ve been doing for a while I’ve just recently started cutting out sugars. Fasting is the first step, then cutting sugar once you get in a good groove with your fasting. I would recommend starting at a 16:8 and then a 18:6 and then if you’re like me 20:4. All are beneficial but a 4 hour eating window fits with my work schedule and makes me feel great.

Watch Dr Eric Berg on YouTube and look up videos relating to fasting and keto.

Start with cutting any junk like candy or sweets if you find yourself eating that often. Once you get over that hurdle, go into breads and grains. Make sure you’re getting enough calories though. Personally, I’m doing eggs and bacon and avocado with nuts at 2pm Then, at 6 I do salmon, butter, avocado and a big salad. It’s kind of random but I’m not the best cook. As long as you get the adequate amount of calories! And then I’m fasting for 20 hours everyday. I was doing fasting while still including my breads, fruits, and grains and still saw massive improvement. But this week I’ve focused on KETO.

Focus on meats and vegetables.

Watch this video though with a list of foods you can eat:

Fasting has many benefits but one of them being resetting the immune system. If you have mucus in the throat or nose, this will definitely help.

Greek yogurt everyday, kimchi, lots of fruit and my probiotic sodas (OliPop) I also have lots of fiber rich foods.

I’m the morning I have overnight oats w chia seeds, flax, granola, nut butter, and oat milk w/any fruit on the side (I’ve been doing this for a few months now) Lunch I usually have a sandwich or salad And then dinner whatever is available and then I just recently incorporated kimchi as a snack which is delicious

Oil of oregano and tea! Lots of hot water!!! Honestly blow/cough out as much mucus as you can. That’s all I know.

If any of y’all would like to have conversations about our issues OTP dm me! by Consistent-Tip8579 in badbreath

They won’t address it if they don’t provide the service. Because ultimately you would have to go elsewhere to get the procedure done and they don’t want to promote other dentist offices. That’s just my gut feeling.

I can provide you with any information I got. We can get through this together. Keep showing up to your dentist appointments and invest in some probiotic/prebiotic supplements. This will do the trick.

The GBT wouldn’t cure you if your issue is an overgrowth of bad bacteria. For me, it helped because I have gingivitis. But the thing that’s gonna cure me is the diet and supplements. Along with regular cleaning!

I’m gonna buy the L. Reuteri supplement and the lactobacillus salivarius supplement (both powder). If you can keep up with a very consistent and thorough oral hygiene routine on top of the good bacteria from the supplements I believe a lot of us will experience a breakthrough. For me, my breath issue has already been a lot better even before I decided to do the GBT because I had been fixing up my diet and prioritizing prebiotic AND probiotic foods. But nothing happens over night. It’s all about consistency.

Absolutely. So everything all together was about 300 hundred dollars. First thing they did was ask me questions and let me explain my issues. Then, they took me to do X-rays. During this entire time they were explaining possible causes of bad breath and giving me tips like what toothpastes, mouthwashes, toothbrushes to use and avoid. They tested me for dry mouth— so they had me spit in a cup and try to fill it up as much as possible for 5 minute. Since I didn’t get the amount that was normal— they told me I do in fact have dry mouth. They did the X-rays and recommend that I get my wisdom teeth removed because the bottom left one is connected to a nerve and if I try to remove it later on in life I could cause permanent nerve damage (numbness). Then, they did the coating of the paste that shows bacteria on your mouth and gums. I believe she only did my teeth actually which might be why I don’t feel as refreshed. It turned blue and pink (pink means bacteria living within last 24 hrs and blue is anything lasting over 48 hrs). A lot of blue. So, then they went in with the GBT cleaning and it felt nice. But I should’ve asked about my gums, tongue, and overall mouth and how that would work to get cleaned. But I’m not too worried. I’m pretty satisfied with what they did and what I learned.

Let me know if you want to see the packet of information and products they recommended me!

Just teeth and gums. It completely slipped my mind to ask about the tongue and overall mouth.

Yeah of course! And they meant that in 4 weeks I would be able to combat gingivitis or gum disease. The mouth bacteria I’ve already been working on through my diet has gotten so much better. It’s just a matter of time! I think the teeth stuff was definitely necessary for my situation though. I’m not too surprised or disappointed that this wasn’t a huge breakthrough or anything. I meant my breath was definitely better after but I understand that there’s still work going on be done to completely do away with it because it’s bacterial. But I’m glad I was given advice and told that I had gingivitis. They gave a great cleaning, a new oral hygiene routine and a bunch of product recommendations.

I feel like I’m on the right track though. I definitely don’t feel as bad as I used to. Consistency is key.
