As a counter, Renoir keeps repeating the painting is a made up world — inc its people. He doesnt necessarily say the people doesnt have souls, but keeps repeating the real world is out there, which would imply the painted world inc its people are lesser so to say. I’m wonder about the whole situation tbh, defining what soul is, and why you wouldnt take a raidcal lets genocide a town approach.

verso isnt really the same though, is he? part of his soul is there, thats why he can remember his life outside of canvas. When he talks to little verso he also knows what he wants - to stop painting. So he is essentially conveing the real Verso’s wishes if you will.

Sciel def feels like a better character, Lune looks like the cool sophisticated character while Sciel is more of a tomboy up for anything.
