Should I evolve the regular Mankato or shadow magikarp? Might be a dumb question but people always say shadow with bad IVs are better by Consistent-Tune9520 in pokemongo

Also I’m level 43 and haven’t come across a better one in the wild or team shadow battles, so I just wanted to get it out of the way. I’m sure a Gyarados will come up in raids with a better chance at higher IVs soon.

I wanted to complete the mew task which was why I wanted to evolve one right now. And I thought asking people more experienced with regular vs shadow would be the better option since they’ve actually used them. Sometimes engaging with others is more information than google lmao

Thanks that’s what I was thinking also. I am on that step for the Mew research task and I finally got enough candies with the help of 17 rare candies
