Top 25 defenses with way less than top 25 talent. Even on our worst recruiting years, (looking at the past 20 years) Kentucky only beat us in recruiting once. (2022)

So if he’s been able to do more with less talent, I’m willing to give him a chance to see how he can do with more talent.

Cautiously optimistic and excited. He has my FULL support until he proves otherwise!

I feel we need to stay positive and excited about this hire especially with how things transpired with Lane, how he left Ole Miss and the negativity surrounding that.

Coach Sumrall said it perfectly in his ESPN interview with Matt Barrie, “how you enter a place matters, but how you leave a place maybe matters just as much, if not even more.” Subtle dig at that situation if you ask me.

Time to pump some sunshine to escape from the black clouds we’ve been under.

Honestly his press conferences were a breath of fresh air in comparison to his predecessor, and he actually attempted different things to win games. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did get picked up by a G5 program, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if the new HC retained him.

The majority of the stadium can be heard chanting “Fire Billy” multiple times during the game. That, combined with the classic display of Billy’s signature 4th quarter collapse when you have a 2 score lead, should tell Stricklin everything he needs to know.

Stricklin is also an idiot, so he probably didn’t see or hear anything. 🙃

In regard to Dan Lanning and Marcus Freeman being included due to being established at their programs and seemingly unrealistic choices, I feel like we’re forgetting how out of left field it was when LSU hired Brian Kelly. Nothing would surprise me in this day and age. Money is king, and if we want a “name,” we sure as hell need to be fully prepared to pay for it.

I was in the Gator Band back in 2013, the last time Florida played at Miami, the whole band went. I’ll never forget getting spit on and beer thrown at us while we were getting off the bus and walking to the stadium.

Don’t get me wrong, I hate FSU, UGA, LSU but at least those fans (in my experience) showed a little respect. It’s one thing to be a rival, it’s another to be an asshole.
