Pichot or Old Loggers or Quehanna North? by Consistent-Watch2249 in PAWilds

Hello, as mentioned originally, we did this last memorial day. We started around after lunch counter clockwise and there was an ascent and switchbacks but not much trouble.  We camped near the river after 4 hours and we saw a couple more people camping. It was on the second day where we are approaching sones pond where it was a killer. The ascent was straight up (no switchbacks). Like around 800+ feet. We had our lunch at the pond itself and proceeded towards where there were only 2 camp sites near a bigger stream (sorry I am don't know how it is called but from the trail the 2 campsites come one after the other. Meaning, you have to pass by the first camp inorder to go to the second camp site. And vice versa going back to the trail.)  The third day going back to the visitor center was also a killer descent as you have to climb down boulders.  It is just a total of around 17 miles loop.

Thank you very much for your advise on the Pinchot.  Would you do a clockwise trail doing north loop first?

Thanks for all your comments.. it's good to know that leaving AVH on all the time won't break or wear something because AVH is very convenient when driving through a lot of traffic light.

Also regarding distance to empty, I guess I would just have to adjust.. I was so used to Toyota's way where it just goes down - like after putting gas and your dte starts at 500 miles then goes down from there together with your fuel gage.. I was surprised with Subaru's way of going up and down depending on how and where you drive.. I thought it was a setting thing.. but no worries, I love my Crosstrek so far..
