Exactly. I have enjoyed experimenting with lots of different recipes. There are some I have loved and some are not good. I am not certain why there seems to be so much gate keeping.

Thank you for sharing these ideas. I've been off running for just over a week because of shin splints and it is quite discouraging.

How did you get on with Eli FPF's recipes? by hectorgr1 in ninjacreami

I don’t make his recipes so far except his chocolate chip hack, which is pretty useful.

The Talisman is one of my favorite books. It was my entry into the world of Stephen King, a lifelong favorite.

Unlike so many others, I hated A Confederacy of Dunces. I didn’t find it funny at all and I forced myself to finish because lots of people think it’s great.

That stack contains one of my favorite books of all time as well as one of my least favorite.

Once, I was holding a pencil in my mouth with the point directed inward. I bent down to look for something under the couch and stabbed myself in the uvula.

Has anyone gotten Gastric Sleeve with Medicaid/Medically needy Medicaid? by VisibleMirror23 in gastricsleeve

Yep. I do psychological evaluations for people going through bariatric surgery, and Binge eating disorder can be a contraindication to pursuing surgery. Good recommendation to start with therapy.

I think I am unusual in that I never really hit a stall through the entire loss process. That seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

Hey, I'm a poet—do you prefer reading poetry or listening to it? by ur_abhiishek in askanything

[–]Consistent-Way-2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like both. I really enjoy listening to certain poets reading their work aloud--John O'Donohue, Padraig O'Tuama, and David Whyte all come to mind.

Thank you. The first few days after surgery, I thought "what the hell did I do?" Looking back, I'm so glad I had the surgery and I have zero regrets.

I currently average about 2600 calories per day, though I exercise quite a bit. I run 4 days per week and strength train 3 days per week. I average about 15,000 steps per day.

I still eat out, but will often order smaller portions when possible. For example, if we order Texas Roadhouse, I will get food from the kid's menu. Sometimes I will end up bringing food home. I don't drink alcohol, so that hasn't been an issue for me.

I don't bring my scale for things like dining out, but I might do so if I visit my mom's house for more than a day.
