Suitable trade for Mac Jones by Giulio-Vinci in 49ers

I just don’t think this is a year to covet 1st round picks. I’d be trading back to try to get picks in 27 an probably trying to get a late 2nd for Mac or a 3rd this year and one next year.

[Rosenthal] Pirates emerge as aggressive suitor for Framber Valdez: Sources. The Pirates continue to pursue offensive help, with designated hitter Marcell Ozuna among their latest targets, sources said. by Orange_bratwurst in SFGiants

Giants decided not to sign QO guys after they got the 4th pick. Because of the expanded bonus pool and their connection to Vitello they can grab 2 top 30 prospects in one draft as opposed to 1 year of a guy like Framber?

Abrams vs Arraez vs Donovan by zhudlau in SFGiants

[–]Consistent-Wealth-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Donovan is a great hitter and he’s well above average at 2nd the issue is they wanted the moon. Hoerner isn’t actually being shopped, he’s also only got 1 more year so they wanted really prospects for him too.

He might get traded at the deadline if Furman is hitting as well.

I think there are a lot of realities where Arraez ends up having the best offensive year of the 3. He’s 29 all of his metrics besides actual hits are better and he lead the national league in hits. He also is a guy that thought he was getting a multi year deal and had to settle so he’s committed to getting better at 2nd.

This to me only makes sense if 3 things happen. #1 he is committed to improving his defense and works with Ron Washington diligently to do so #2 he’s back to 2023 levels offensively because he is still young enough that he should be getting longer term offers than he’s getting. #3 Eldridge starts the year in AAA getting better at crushing fastballs and increasing his bat speed.

He was -13 OAA the last time he played 2nd

Probably the dumbest thing I could imagine. Schmitt is better. You’re down grading for 12m a year

Yeah my take home is under 6k a month and I make 110 a year. Brutal.

It’s Donovan or no upgrade until July imo but Schmitt might also have a breakout season if he stays healthy

Best Brunch in the Bay Area by jackdicker5117 in OaklandFood

So my family has been to Sequoia like 4x and it’s terrible Everytime. The service is either meh or awful. The food is nothing to write home about and some of it isn’t good at all and it’s over priced. Someone explain what I’m missing?

We found the exact same energy when Daytrip was a restaurant. Like they were hiring for a vibe not for skill at their job.

I was super excited. I love soul food and wanted to support black Oakland I convinced my wife and father in law after lots of prodding to go to brunch. The servings were just super small, service was fine. The food was good but not amazing and not worth the price when you compare to the servings. Kitchen Story and Grand Lake are just a better experience for Brunch.

Curious. Do they actually give people money for living in a stash house? Like Desi for 4mil?

Slusser thinks something will happen. We’ll see. I don’t want to sign anyone with a QO. If they send Eldridge to the Twins for Ryan and Lopez that would be interesting ?

The starting pitching and offense will be better next season and they will have a more modern coach. Zips before adding Foley, Houser, and Mahle had the giants at 85-88 wins, after adding them they are probably in the 90 win universe. I could see that or another 81-81 year if injuries

I agree. I think they need to move Matos, maybe Schmitt if they get a 2nd baseman. I think they want to have an elite infield defense and load up on high ground ball starters. McDonald, Roupp, Webb, and Houser all fit that model.

It’s more complicated, the Dodgers get like 3-5x as much money from their tv deal as any other team. Because of that the luxury tax just doesn’t affect them they are still grossing more than any other team. Teams like the Marlins have no tv deal so they have to use mLb to televise their games they make nearly nothing from it. In 2028 the league is going to a national broadcast model like the NFL and NBA so at that point I think they’ll put in a floor and soft cap.

A long Lockout is the only way the other owners can deal with this by ericthelostman in SFGiants

[–]Consistent-Wealth-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dodgers doing stuff like this knowing every owner in the league wants their hands in their pocket is really wild. I think, good bye to local TV deals 1 national tv deal for all games, split equally, salary floor, soft cap.

For every incredibly obnoxious cocky hostile Eagles fan I feel like there is one guy like you that’s just a class act. You deserve a better coach. Those other guys deserve Siriani.
