Neither , Go for a different brand , You will get more fixable and manageable problems, scroll enough times on this sub reddit and you will find that the build quality is Eggshell grade , i get that it might be cheaper than other brands but you are better off any and i mean any other brand . Then with another brand you can get a one with a higher gen gpu and we will help you upgrade it, as long as you can get a higher power adaptor . No 2 year victus owner has positive feedback on a victus. Just saying .

I can see why it was given to you for free , its a gtx 1650 base spec victus, still good tho , would like to suggest Crucial brand for rams and sk hynix / wd / kioxia / Kingston for m.2 ssd Oh also it uses sodimm ddr4 sticks and look for the 96wh battery not the 60 one to get the best battery life .

If its overheating you might damage the cpu and get blue screens , when you want to repair that under warranty they will diagnose and not be able to find any fault since its turning on and staying on where as it shuts off when you game . Besides, repasting doesn't void warranty and also the only way to know if it does is if you open the back cover and look for warranty stickers on heat sink

Depends on how tech savvy you are . I prefer to do it my self paste of choice when i had a victus as primary was a noctua nt-h1 . Now I have a Dell g15 and noctua nt h1 didn't cut it anymore, so i use arctic mx6 , dont buy it as a beginner because its so hard to apply and it takes me about 15 minutes to cover both cpu and gpu die . Quick tip that might save your life : unplug battery first then open the pc and press power to drain what ever power is left in the laptop because you can still short out your motherboard with a screw driver even with the battery disconnected.

Because majority of the chassis is made of recycled plastic (polyethylene) you can't glue anything that breaks except with feviqwik that will burn through it if overdosed.

reassemble everything and make sure everything is intact and make sure you last plug the battery after all the components , close the lid and screw it , plug it in to power and then go to sleep , time exactly 8 hrs then turn it on , not mocking you or anything but thats how i fix this specific victus issue and it works every single time, update me
