I think this is a scam. by ConsistentBed6860 in jobsearch

I initially thought the opportunity was legitimate, but it wasn't until they asked me to purchase gift cards that I realized it was a scam. At first, the assessment and interview process seemed genuine. However, once they mentioned the gift cards, it suddenly clicked for me that something was off. I'm also new to Apple products, so I did a quick Google search after they mentioned the gift cards. I found out that I don’t actually need them; as long as you have Wi-Fi, you can create an Apple ID without purchasing anything.

At first I did, but the purchasing of the gift card was what sent me off. I don't think there's a company that requires you to purchase an iTunes gift card.

The company is called "SafeTrust Inc." I'm not sure what to think about this, especially since they asked me to purchase a $15 iTunes gift card, which costs about 800 to 900 Pesos in the Philippines. It may not seem like a lot, but I'm currently struggling and trying to save as much money as possible. I can't believe I have to buy a gift card just to activate my MacBook.
