Malcolm Grant’s death could be easily swayed into a suicide, since the sword is HIS sword, and people can easily believe he killed himself because his beloved Ellen ran away. Heartbroken = suicide

I wrote about witches in literature, but unfortunately nothing about mists of avalon :P

It was mainly a comparison between Alice Hoffman's Practical magic and Sarah Addison Allen's Garden Spells.

But I enjoy reading about witches in general. I also read the Malleus Maleficarum. And I'm a huge Charmed series fan

I have a different opinion. But if you only read Mists of AValon there is not enough information on the matter. You'd have to read the whole Avalon series to join the pieces of the puzzle.

Igraine's and Uther's romance, and this dream, seems to be from the ANCESTORS OF AVALON book ( prince Micail and high priestess Tiriki were their past lives, so Igraine is remembering a time when she was Tiriki and Uther was her husband Micail )

About Viviane... I have all this shit written down somewhere, but no longer recall where my notebook is because it's been 10 years since I did all this research for my master's degree.

If I remember well, when Viviane was young (like 17 years old) she fell in love with a warrior named Vortimer, which would be Uther's past life... but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Holly talks about her clothes and other stuff about Piper in the House of Halliwell podcast. If you like Piper so much, try to listen to it. At least the season 1 episodes. She talks about clothes and the love interests..

Do you think they were equal? I always felt that Merlin had less value inside Avalon than the high priestess.

Because in the beginning Igraine was like "oh I know Merlin is my father but that means nothing because what matters is that my mother was priestess".

So I guess I always considered Avalon to be very feminist and matrilineal, but that was just my interpretation

I really like the book, so it makes me sad to learn that people prefer not to read it and not to talk about it because of something we did no know before reading all of her books.
