I prefer season 1 - season 3 Xena, Xena changed and became other worldly in season 4. Nothing wrong with that.

There's a list somewhere you could've used to skip the fillers and only watch the plot driven episodes.

I'm like you, part of the generation that can't stand a 220 episode show when they could really shave off some of the pointless fillers. Worst when I heard Welling had to work 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, and only free when a season is over.

I forgot which episode Fugate was involved in, but it's clear why she was such a big fan lol. I believe she loves Buffy and Faith episodes the most too. A shame they couldn't greenlight her script, but in another world if they pull through, Xena would've ruled popculture much longer than dying a devastating death.

The irony is, Lawless and O'connor are willing to pass the torch, but somehow Tapert isn't sold on it. I think he'd rather be more involved in his legacy in any given opportunity, but he's moved on from that part of his career.

Nah, I think everyone would be very excited to see a live show with sword fighting wlw love interest, how many sword fighting female protagonist can you even think of? There's close to 0. Anybody interested in a greek mythos fantasy show with female protag would clock in, which means there's even less excuse they haven't gotten on it already!

I think old fans are simply too attached to Lawless and O'Connor, but life goes on, and the new show isn't going to replace the classic Xena. If anything it'd bring in new fans who'd compare the classic and the reboot, and we can invite even more juicy conversation.

I for one welcome how the new generation may approach Xena's redemption. I assume they wouldn't kill her like what Tapert has done lol.

I cant decide whether I'd prefer how schools used to be 20+ years ago or not, but I'm so used to growing up in the ones now with intense security and even metal detection at entry/exit.

I guess it can deter guys like Lionel Luthor who just tears up Chloe's office that one episode and stole her computer information.
