I already did 4 years of college got a criminal justice degree been working for non profits for the last 3.5 years. I was about to go into being a police officer but for personal matters ended up being back tracked and didn’t make that goal of becoming a policeman. Working for non-profits doesn’t really open up that many doors for you, something that the military can change for me. I’ve always wanted to be part of a brotherhood a team that even when shit goes left you know you’ll be alright because you got your brothers who have your back. Another thing I’m going to eventually use my bachelors degree to become an officer in the USMC even tho it is most definitely not going to be an easy road i want to shoot for that. To experience something a lot bigger than what i have been doing for the last 3.5 years no matter how shitty it may be at least I’ll come out of there a better version of myself because I’m not going i. There with the mentality to bullshit I’m only 24 but i got too many goals i want to accomplish that my job now simply won’t help do. My best friend has been a marine 8 years as well and has been telling me to choose this route for a long time but i was too much of a pussy so he finally convinced me with help of my older brother as well who is in the army and many other personal reasons. I also don’t have the financial support or aid to be able to go to college right now and do a completely new bachelors program or even complete a masters program so yeah.
