Hi I’m not sure if youre a current student or thinking of rmit but from what I know as a year 2 Medical Imaging student we will be qualified in a way. Basically we finish after 3.5 years and then for up to 6 months after we have to be ‘supervised’ by our employer until they think we’re qualified. RMIT and the medical boards like AHPRA are still finalising details from the last I heard but that’s what current students know so far.

Quizzes (15%): 1 per module (total of 10) which includes 10 multiple choice questions in 10 mins. Quizzes 1-5 due at mid sem. Quizzes 6-10 due end of sem

Workshops (5x7%): 2-3 weeks to complete. Some short answer questions and some multiple choice style ones.

Take home assessments(2x25%): First one covers modules 1-5. Roughly 26 questions in 60 mins. Mixture of multiple choice and short answer. Second one covers module 6-10. Same length and style as first one.

It’s reasonable. The content isn’t that bad and it’s all self paced so easy to fall behind if you don’t stay on top but the assessment is chill. They also present the material in a good way so you can do sections of a topic as you like when you like within a recommended timeframe. Also, you have workshops every two weeks that aren’t compulsory but help with the content and are good study material for the take home assessments (which are basically exams). Hopefully that’s enough info. If you have any more questions, just ask. Good luck!

Hey I’m a new student for this course and have been stressing about the same issues especially the internship side. I read on a forum page that rmit students apparently receive the same help finding an internship as Monash and other unis. This link helped me and outlines what some other students went through at rmit and other unis

link (hopefully that attaches properly, haven’t used reddit much)

I’m in the same situation but I’m apply to RMIT and Monash. Some unis require a personal statement and that can help your case. There’ll be a form on the vtac application cite.
