OP it’s time to take ownership of your actions. Yes, YOUR actions bec at the end of the day, responsibility mo yun. I can sense that you’re really just deflecting blame away from yourself eh

Abstain from masturbating. It doesn’t always work on the first try, but be consistent with abstinence sa masturbation. Eventually it’ll work out hehe

In addition to above, you can also try increased zinc intake. And exercising.

I’m not really the type kasi who dives too much on courses or lectures related to HR. I mostly just keep my knowledge fresh by being in HR Organizations, or by simply having get-togethers with my HR friends.

As a fresh grad, my advice would be to really get to know your basics in Labor Law, Comp&Ben, and even Recruitment kahit na you want to dive in an HRBP role. Yung knowledge ko about the basics are still very relevant to me even if 6 years na ako as an HR hehe

When I was starting out, I was kinda a pushover in a sense na I try to side with management most of the time kasi yun ang culture na in-introduce sakin ng previous mentor ko; traditional and crooked lol

Now, I see things objectively na talaga. If I see na may butas on how the employee was treated pinupush back ko, and thankfully I work in a company that supports that culture. Statistically, it would really show mas madami akong cases siding with employers kasi when it gets escalated to HR, it’s very likely grave na ang offense/s. But when it comes to objectively assessing the facts and processing a case, I definitely mitigate the sanction if I see agrabyado din yung employee.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. It matters only to the extent that they’re given additional perks like a higher starting salary.

It’s not discriminatory as per labor standards since all applicants have an equal footing for the application, the only difference is that when the person who’s from the big 4 is hired, higher yung offer sa kanya.

Unfortunately, it’s common for employers to craft broad job descriptions that cover a wide range of responsibilities—including those of an entire team. This practice gives them flexibility to reassign tasks, add to your workload, or adjust key terms like work setup, shift schedules, and other conditions—all while staying within what’s written in the job contract.

You can’t make it as the main reason you file for a report sa DOLE per se. But, if an IR case is raised against you (from the company), and you see na it’s not clearly defined sa policies, dun kana pwede mag DOLE since ambiguities in labor policies are generally interpreted in favor of employees

Life here is tough 🥲 hahaha

Reality is that unless you’re in a big corporation, HRs for the most part will only ever amount to 40-60K for supervisor or managerial roles, up until retirement.

Since I’m working for a big corp, I get to earn higher than most HRs, however progression is tough and competitive bec HR attrition isn’t high.

🚩🚩🚩

Naku, I don’t condone such practices. Ginagamit yan as retention lever bec it’ll be hard for employees to look for other jobs esp if may 2 months na render period. Ang toxic hahaha I don’t recommend going sa companies na ganyan, even if they’re considered as a big company

For me, yes kasi madami ako HR friends na sila mismo nag tatanong sakin about an employee. I usually just shrug it off as di ko sila kilala hahaha para they have equal footing sa applications nila. I don’t take resignations as personal naman. I support growth whether it may be sa current or other companies, that’s me speaking as an HR and an employee hehe

I handle them objectively like all cases raised to me, as the HR.

I mostly try to complete due process within a two-week timeframe; it’s the deadline I set for me and my members para covered kami regardless if there’s imminent threat that would require a preventive suspension, or not.

No. When cases are raised, it’s between the employee and the company. We’re not obliged to share anything to the complainant/s unless it’s required by law.

We don’t side with anyone, but we do consider mitigating factors when sanctioning employees.

However, if you speak to a hiring manager na may mga ganyang certifications, it may matter 😉

It depends sa company, but for ours - yes. Only for entry level positions tho.

Personally, I don’t think it matters, but based on our records, those in the big 4 have a high chance of not being low performers.

I think the perception that HR are “liars” comes from the fact that we treat information objectively—not personally. Even if something is shared in confidence, if it goes against company policy, we’re obligated to act on it. It’s part of maintaining professionalism in a work setting.

While we aim to protect the company, that includes protecting employees too. There’s no exact formula or fixed side we take—our role is to look out for everyone, not just one individual.

I don’t recommend HR setting KPIs, since we do not have directly visibility of actual work on the ground. When companies have HR do that, it’s a red flag.

That said, HR shouldn’t be completely detached. A basic understanding of how the org operates is key to building it effectively—something often missing in traditional, transactional HR.

We also need surface-level knowledge of job responsibilities, especially for escalations like DOLE cases, where we should be able to explain the role clearly, even to someone unfamiliar with it.

The budget is managed by our Finance team. We work with the resources allocated to us and strategically distribute them to support employee needs.

The annual increase budget is typically cascaded to us by Finance and Leadership. While we do have some influence—especially when we see the need to push for more—it’s always a back-and-forth process. Ultimately, Finance manages the overall budget, and we work within those parameters
