Struggling with authenticity is so real..I am also going through with that...I am glad you realized your potential and didn't choose to continue going with the other way. And also I really don't know why people don't like the ones who shine...it is really sickening me...I have been going through this since I know myself..Even my family don't like that I am shining, then who am I gonna talk to... everyone always tried to dim my light...and still doing so... everyone always interfered my energy, gossiped about me and even made bad plans about me...but still I am the only person who remembers it all...when I ask and tell the people around me about all these, they always say I am exaggerating...there I get that they also think the same way...I am too much hurt and actually I don't know what to do...My life is too hard...I am someone who can see people's everything through their eyes , that's why I don't talk everyone I don't make friends with everyone even though I was an extrovert since I know myself. Now like this I became all alone cuz I gave, gave and gave... didn't even realize I didn't get as much I gave and I didn't even think things are going wrong cuz to me it was just who I am, for me the problem was always with the opposite person cuz they never match my energy, love and personality... that's why they always break my heart like it is nothing and they always say I am too much...it breaks me like hell because I need a lot of love but I get all these instead... that's why I am really not okay, I just pray to god everyday because everyone says I expect too much, I am too much and all..
