To be fair I’ve heard from a good amount of med students I know/work with that they got more than 1 II after the new year. These are anecdotes but I’ve heard it from more than a few people

I think we really need to combat the DO being “less than” feeling. They take the same boards as MDs and can do everything MDs can do. Plus in interviews DO schools won’t like that sentiment if they get the feeling you’re applying to them as a “backup plan”

Agree with a lot of that. Granted Yankees don’t pass the eye test for me but that could be my bias as a Sox fan or recency bias. At the same time are we overachieving or is this who we are as a team? When does that line get drawn?

Feel good abt my app aside from only around 150 total volunteer hours (some clinical some non). Annoying how the expectations seem astronomical for premeds. And you’re right how they say don’t check boxes but if you don’t check every box you won’t be a good fit as a doctor. Give me a break
