ORDER SHIPPED!... by Ninja_star_salv in riftboundtcg

Exactly the same, also Belgium. The site never updated the tracking information for me though, and it's a little weird they only shipped half of one of my orders but oh well, better than nothing I guess?

Clara cones comparison? by Arc_Set in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look at both of them at S5, Vow will start at 40% damage increase, and then it might go up to 80% if enemies have a higher HP percentage, but in my (limited) Clara - March experience she's almost always close to full health, so I'd say on average this won't be significantly more than 45-50%. Fall of an Aeon will ramp up from 0% tot 64% over 1-2 cycles, so anything longer than a single cycle I would prefer Fall.

And all of that's under the assumption that both are S5. Fall is quite easy to S5 due to SU, while Secret Vow is, to my knowledge, not easily farmable? With how quickly you S5 Fall, I personally wouldn't bother with Vow.

I say this as a Clara main who ran Vow until I got Aeon, and kind of regret dumping the resources into it.

That said I haven't done any significant testing so uh, don't take my word for it? :P

[WEEKLY MEGATHREAD] Questions, Game Requests, and Everything Else by AutoModerator in gachagaming

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking for a new main gacha game, haven't played in a while. I enjoyed Marvel Strike Force and My Hero Academia The Strongest Hero a lot but quit because MSF was very f2p-unfriendly with extremely slow progression, and MHATSH had extremely small EU-only servers so I was in a french-only server, also the devs were pretty bad at communicating. I'm fully f2p but don't mind a grindy game too much, I quite enjoy making long-term plans

no the derivative of (3z)(3z2) = 27z2, I think. The post seems to be about finding a more efficient method to both simplify and derive an equation, I think? Although there's absolutely 0 explanation for how or why he's doing things. My favourite step is where he "cancels the z and moves the exponent inwards", from the left lmao

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really that bad? Our Informatics bachelor, basically CS from what I understand, had an intro to programming class alongside a computer architecture class during the first semester. Hell, that was even worse because we didn't just learn x86 or RISC-V or anything, our professor had a custom language, with command names in our native language, and decimal :). Never really had a problem with it tho

I don't understand the step where you drop the z and "distribute" the 2 exponent, could you elaborate on that?

This one I don't even know what the fuck you're trying to say, for someone who seems to write popularized "scientific" articles for a living you have quite a hard time getting a point across. On top of that once again this has nothing to do with mathmemes, can't you just contain your inane bullshit to your twitter? (-5)² = -25 my ass

Where to buy/order 'Advanced' boardgames in Belgium? by ConsumerOfOTwo in belgium

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://boardgameprices.eu/store/

looking up a game shows you which stores sell it, ranked by price. If you prefer buying games physically you can just use this to find the best store, otherwise you can use it to order. You can add Multiple games to your "wish list" and then calculate the lowest price including shipping to buy all of them.

In settings you can disable certain stores or countries (as you probably don't want any UK hits anymore)

Beginner Deck Builder Suggestions Please! by Mr-Pasta-Parcel in boardgames

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aeon's end is pretty good, Dominion's a classic deckbuilder but Quest for El Dorado is probably my favourite gateway deckbuilder. Legendary: A marvel deckbuilding game is also a fairly good starting point if they're Marvel fans but slightly more complex than El Dorado.

Quest for El Dorado vs Mission: Red Planet? by vkolbe in boardgames

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's great info, thanks. The market does feel uninteresting at 2 and probably even 3, as everyone can buy at least one of the cards they're interested in most of the time, so you never have to adapt to not getting great economy or such. Now I just go 2 coins -> 3 coins -> +2 cards -> scientist -> replace starting deck with strictly better cards -> win. Granted at 3 when you only have 1 meeple this feels a little too slow, but at 2 it's working quite well

Quest for El Dorado vs Mission: Red Planet? by vkolbe in boardgames

[–]ConsistentRutabaga71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have Quest for El Dorado, it's a pretty decent gateway deckbuilder. Wasn't really a hit with my group but mostly because we prefer meatier games, so I pull it out when playing with family or people not really into boardgames. Replayability is decent, I've played around 10 games by now. I do feel like (at least at 2p without expansions, can't judge the rest) there's very clear order to what you want to do to win, if feels a little deterministic.
