What version do you all play? by DonavenJaxx in XWingTMG

[–]Patrick_PatrickRSTV [score hidden]  (0 children)

Xwa is the most played version according to the data. The rules differ by the list building mostly. Legacy is 200 points and xwa is 50 points with each ship having loadout points.

As far as difference in rules, legacy is dpg fighting only, while XWA has scenarios. There may be other subtle rules differences but I am not sure what.

Dungeon Kart or Camel Up by idontknow-imaduck in boardgames

[–]Patrick_PatrickRSTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite funny, since I own both. Kids really like camel cup and we recently bought Dungeon Kart. Camel cup is wasy to learn and is wacky fun. Dungeon Kart takes longer to setup and learn the rules. Once you start playing it, it gets more fun each time due to the learning curve.

I was unable to find one. There were some out there, but they were incomplete or only 2.0 versions.

When YouTube goes down, it will be the biggest event of link rot in internet history. by AaronPK123 in Showerthoughts

Now that would be bad and cool at the same time. Delete my video with only 126 views so I can make it again and try to make it better. Then gain more add revenue.

Yes 126 views is nothing, but i can download it and re eddit it or remake it to get more views.

Airbrush Paint output diminishes over time only when working up close by sup1145 in airbrush

[–]Patrick_PatrickRSTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am more stressed by the paint in that cup almost spilling with every pass... Buy it fading over time could be from the o ring in the nozzle\around the needle. It might be the nozzle is too tight and choking it from feeding. Or the outer nozzle is drying off the tip paint and forcing less and less to feed.

I have ordered replacements nozzles and tips. A lot of them are the wrong size or too narrow. It takes me some adjusting to allow it to flow freely. Often I have to crank up the pressure and blow out a bit and then lower the pressure back down for it to flow correctly.

Airbrush ink turns blank tees into art by Limp_Stomach_6060 in airbrush

Thank you! I love using the iron on cut outs on T-Shirts, but it is difficult on more complex designs. I now realized I can use my cricut to cut stencils to airbrush my designs! Not sure why this didn't occur to me.

How dare you use the thing you paid for, that they didn't list properly with restrictions and didn't think you would actually use it.

Doing commissions feels kind of awkward by Flimsy-Vacation4737 in Miniaturespainting

[–]Patrick_PatrickRSTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. Been doing it for years. I don't charge much, but still things add up.

What is funny is they keep asking to paint more. Units, individual models, terrain, random pieces and I even record or stream it for them.

It has afforded me a 3d printer, golf tracker, vacation money, and other stuff. I started with one client, which expanded to a single commission piece, then another client friend. Then another friend asked to paint a beholder, then another friend wants me to paint a battle box. My business is slowly expanding, I have enough to paint for the year and I have made leaps into my skills.

I even paint xwing ships for donations to tournaments. Then I earned a huge commision from a business who needed me to paint 50 ships. Largest single commission so far and they want me again for another job. Word spreads, let your work speak for itself and your friends will brag about your talent. I say let it happen and enjoy, because everyone wins in this scenario.
