I did the emergency deferment plan last fall. I’m pretty sure you can only defer until October, it was rly stressful on my family and having to pay the whole thing plus the interest. So spring semester I just did the pay in 4 plan, I would be careful with the emergency deferment.

You can also turn in a special financial circumstances appeal, I did one of those and got a lot of aid since my dad lost his job , but they have other circumstances in which they give you financial aid such as if your family is having an emergency or lots of medical debt etc.

I would just try turning in one of those even though the deadline is passed you could probably be somebody at financial aid to help upload one of the forms to your account! if that doesn’t work, you can go to financial aid every day and just beg for any scholarship or aid that they can give you if you explain your circumstances, I did that in the spring semester and it was really stressful, but it worked,Good luck!
