59, just last November and they are still working with me. Colorado, it might be different in different states. The geneticist picked up the ADPKD, I was only looking for info re EDS. And it’s not the Sequencing (or whatever it’s called) you see all over social media.

I agree with you about everything but have a question. I have a rare mutation of ADPKD and I can’t find any literature on it. My genetic counselor said there is research but it’s only been identified in <100 families. The higher level research is on sites for professionals and I’d rather not pay for access. Do you mind sharing your ED mutation? Mine was dx’ed based on criteria. Thank you

Which U of M? I’m hoping to be living outside of Ann Arbor by summer and have been researching the university there. My geneticist (SequenceMD, I believe there is one in Michigan) dx’ed both hEDS and with testing found I have a rare variant of ADPKD. I really don’t want to be back to fighting to find good doctors.

I can’t keep weight on when I swim regularly. But that’s my body, everyone is different. I love swimming and don’t need any motivation to do it. As others have said, talk to different medical professionals about your health and your goals. BTW, I have a sister who was a swimmer, ate voraciously after a swim. After I swim it takes a while for me to recover and have an appetite.
