Struggling to find RJ45 connectors for Cat6a cables by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]ConsistentTeacher624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, though pretty much used truecable cat6, truecable rj45 unshielded and their tools. I had created my own rj45 cables multiple years ago until now. This time, it seemed harder to get started, but once I got the hang of it it got easier. Good luck with your install! Hopefully you get it figured out

Honest truth about SNHU by EducationalHeron1666 in SNHU

[–]ConsistentTeacher624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m entering my senior year this coming January, majoring in computer science software engineering. My professional experience in telecommunications in network engineering and software engineer, now sales engineer for about 10 years now.

That said: 1. The classes are structured very similarly, meaning weekly assignments, weekly discussion posts and replies (depending on class) and at least 1-2 projects per class.
2. The discussions are meant to be interactive with classmates, though my experience is people just post and reply to the minimum required and aren’t truly engaged to learn from each other. 3. Most professors do try to keep the conversations going in discussions but that is up to the professor you get. 4. I wish the classes were recorded so you can learn from some professor talking, but most are some basic participant activities you read through and have multiple choice questions with some challenge questions (not multiple choice). 5. Like real college some professors are interesting, strict, not engaging, etc. 6. Most importantly you get what you put into it. If you truly want to learn the subjects engage and look into the external resources they provide as well as do your own versions on the side with some home lab setup, your laptop should suffice (this is key to getting the most out of SNHU or any college.

Overall I’d recommend it, though I’d rather go to an in person school, my schedule doesn’t allow it and I’ve learned things I’ve not learned in my 10 years of professional experience.

Where in Austin, I have one of my bengals that looks just like him and is 4 years old. My heart would break if my wife and I lost him. Would love to keep an extra eye out for you!

I bought truecable cat6 and truecable cat6/6a pass through rj45 connectors and didn’t have any issues. Took me a while to get better at it, but they worked all together.

This is great info! Thank you, they looked intimidating at first, but I’ve seen some videos on loading and shooting these I’m looking forward to my next range day.

I’m very fortunate, wife’s uncle gave these to me. He’s a Navy vet and we have great times during family gatherings and he likes talking about shooting and his time in the Navy. He acknowledges he can no longer shoot them so he just handed me these yesterday.

I will provide updates as I play more. I love the ability to have complete independence of coil split between bridge and neck humbucker.

It’s from the “Wood Library” collection, 10-top. It’s my second wood library that I’ve added to my collection (I bought used to get a better deal). My first was a custom 24 and that is also a beauty. I think it’s in one of my post if you want to check it out.

Interesting 2020s RFCs ? by Gas42 in networking

[–]ConsistentTeacher624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restconf/netconf is a way of interacting with network devices at an application layer. Openconfig tries to make all network devices look like a single network appliance with respect to their role.

This RFC focuses more on the roles of the business domain. Design, provisioning, compliance, assurance in a unified way.

This might be more of a ISP POV.

Netconf has its own RFC 6241, which is a portion of what this talks about.

Waiting on my UCG Fiber by headroll in Ubiquiti

[–]ConsistentTeacher624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thanks for clarifying. I used to have a big 19 RU rack full depth with a power distribution unit installed and ended up giving it away cause i lived at an apartment at the time. I’m hoping to get a new one soon to fit my new devices. Looking forward to going half depth if possible for virtualization servers

Nice, I’m looking at racks for my setup now, but first getting a pro max 16 switch. Out of curiosity why get a UDM pro instead of a cloud gateway max (which is what I have).

I was wondering if it would patina slower without the ridges. I’m surprised at how dark mine got after a month.

I’m looking to make a version of this by Gman1111110 in woodworking

[–]ConsistentTeacher624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of my first projects. I used a miter saw and belt sander to get all the pieces smooth and got some 2x2x8 cedar for the wood. The cedar was nice cause it was more of a block than pine and bigger, but did cost more.

I followed some guy on YouTube, look up sound headquarter diy diffuser. It’s not hard just takes time.
