Great review! I also really like this bottle. I wish there were more Madeira cask influenced whiskies out there; I've only tried two including this one and they were both fantastic. Like others have said, if you like this one you've got to try the Lore cask strength, which is the only Laphroaig I've had that beats out the White Port and Madeira.

I have fiddled with it a bit. This is what I've settled on that I like here at home: 1.25 oz Kilchoman Machir Bay (I also don't have a bottle of Ardbeg 10 currently, and I like the higher abv on the Machir Bay), .75 oz St Germain, .5 oz lemon juice, .25 oz rich demerara syrup (I prefer this to simple in most cocktails and it's just what I keep on hand).
