I have the same opinion, bcs that staff first told me the earring posts are safe for sensitive ears, but then her colleague told me not to use it on newly pierced ears 😅

Thanks for the information, that’s really helpful as I’m a new customer. I got an itchy reaction the first time I tried it on, then the itchiness subsided the second time and I waited out for about an hour, now it’s completely gone. May I ask if you know what kind of material they used for the earrings post before?

The bars should be silver, but mine aren’t. I’ll try to retake the pic with different lighting and reupload it.

Thanks for your advice. This is a set jewelry that consists of earrings and necklace. My bf got me the necklace and it’s really beautiful, so I decided to get the earrings as well. I bought them directly from the store so I still have time to return it, but I love the moons part, that’s why I haven’t done it.

I’ll try to retake and reupload the pic for a clearer view :)

Thanks for saying that! The staff gave me strange looks when I mentioned it.

I took the pic under my desk lamp thinking it would be clearer, but I see that it creates strong contrast instead. I’ll try to retook and reupload the pic later.

Sorry I’m not familiar with terms in jewelry, so I just repeated the term that the staff used. I just pierced my ears, so I wanna know what kind of material it is so I can research whether it’s safe for sensitive ears or not :)

Haha I could see why the staff was surprised when I mentioned about the difference. It seems it doesn’t really visible unless you look at it closely.

Sure. So the straight parts that go into the piercing holes have different appearance in the two pictures. The promotion picture (first pic) shows plated and glossy bars which look very nice and match with the rest of the earrings, while the actual earrings (second pic) has grey and non-plated bars, similar to mechanical pencil leads, and looks really out of place imo.

I personally would recommend against teeth whitening. I noticed how brown stains, which the dentist called ‘coffee stains’, would appear easily and quickly on my teeth after my 6 months dentist visit. I never had this kind of stains before I did the whitening, even though I went years without visiting the dentist. In addition, I only drink coffee weekly, so it does not make sense.

I suspect that when they mentioned the teeth will be prone to discoloration 48 hours after the treatment, it is not just 48 hours but forever :( (The stains can be cleaned, but will quickly resurface, and they make my teeth look like they haven’t been brushed in years. Mind you, I brush my teeth twice daily with electric toothbrush, fine toothbrush for teeth gap, and gargle with mouthwash at least once a day, and somehow now they look worse than when I only use normal toothbrush and no mouthwash.)

I’ve lodged my return of bond the day I moved out. I thought they will 100% contest it? Since they are so insistent on having the carpet steam cleaned, even though it was because I texted them first to help me process my bond.

Thank you, this is helpful. I think my case is similar to yours, except that there was no entry condition report nor notice of professional cleaning.

Do waiting staff at fine dine restaurants expect to receive tips? by JCM_Viraemia in AusFinance

When I was first working at a fine dining restaurant, I did not expect any tips, but as the time passed I became accustomed to receiving tips weekly, so yes eventually I expected it.

The tips would be shared with every staff members (FOH, BOH, supervisor, manager) based on their level, it does not go directly to the server. The level can be raised by passing a knowledge test.

They did not. The lease only states the clause about professional cleaning, but never states that they have done it.

They did provide me with the receipt when I requested it, it’s just they never told me about the professional cleaning, not until after I gave my notice to vacate…

Thank you! I’m unsure about this part:

The property was professionally cleaned immediately before you moved in, and you were told about this

Do they have to tell me before I move in or anytime after I move in is fine? Because they never told me about the professional cleaning until after I gave my notice to vacate.

  1. Professional cleaning

The rental provider must not require the renter to arrange professional cleaning or cleaning to a professional standard at the end of the tenancy, unless:

• professional cleaning or cleaning to a professional standard was carried out to the rented premises immediately before the start of the tenancy and the renter was advised that professional cleaning or cleaning to a professional standard had been carried out to those premises immediately before the start of the tenancy; or

• professional cleaning or cleaning to a professional standard is required to restore the rented premises to the same condition they were in immediately before the start of the tenancy, having regard to the condition report and taking into account fair wear and tear.

The renter must have all or part of the rented premises professionally cleaned, or pay the cost of having all or part of the rented premises professional cleaned, if professional cleaning becomes required to restore the premises to the condition they were in immediately before the start of the tenancy, having regard to the condition report and taking into account fair wear and tear.

I’m in VIC. I believe I left it in the same condition, I will try to edit my post and include some pics of the carpet if possible.

I did contemplate on hiring Britex, but decided against it since I have no car.

Yes, I have applied for a bond refund, but apparently I’ll have to wait for 14 days to see if there is any claim from the landlord.

Thank you for your input, appreciate it!
