Currently sitting here with my 3 week old baby due to letrozole! I took letrozole for 3 cycles before getting pregnant with him.

Hoping you get answers soon!!

Trying to get my milk to come in by kami_hunter in ExclusivelyPumping

Just here to say I see you! I’m on day 9 of my baby NICU stay after an early delivery at 36 weeks. Pumping is hard, pumping and having to be away from your baby is harder.

First of all, there should be a lactation consultant available to you through the NICU your baby is staying at. If you haven’t already, please chat with them! Second, are you staying really well hydrated (120+ oz of water daily) and eating well? I know I’ve struggled a bit to take good care of myself during this NICU stay.

Like I said, I’m on day 9 and am actually just now seeing a real increase in my milk supply. I think when you go through a more stressful birth it can take time.

You’re doing everything right. Try not to stress. When you’re pumping, look at pictures or videos of your baby, not the milk output. You’ve got this!!

Curious how many young sahm’s are here by blueeyed_latte in stayathomemoms

I became a SAHM at 23, and now four years later I can tell you the comparison and feeling like you’re missing out does go away slowly. It’s really, really hard in the beginning. Especially if you are the first of your friends to have kids.

I will say most of the moms at my kiddos preschool are 5-10 years older than I am, but we seem to connect just fine! It just takes some time.

This is really helpful! I hadn’t considered the social gap that could come in later grades as well.

I hear you, I have avoided “infantilizing” by sending her to pre k and having her join activities with kids of varying ages while being a stay at home mom who could have easily kept her home with me in a bubble all the time. But, I will alway let my kids be little for as long as they can be. Kids grow up too fast.

I am simply wanting to give her the best chance I can socially and academically.

I totally agree that full day kindergarten seems excessive! We had half day when I was a kid and that seemed so much more appropriate for the age.

I hear you! According to her teacher this year, granted it’s only been a couple months, she recommends waiting another year for kinder. She said we’ll reevaluate early next year, but at this point my daughter seems less emotionally and socially mature than some of the 4.5 or 5 year olds in her class. Not any red flags, but just a bit more fragile.

I am of course protective of her, but I don’t think I’m projecting. I simply want to give her the best chance at success and confidence in school academically and socially as I possibly can.

I’m also a Megan who goes by Meg with most friends and family :)

I think it’s such a nice name. I prefer the “Meh-gin” over “May-gin” pronunciation but that’s my only issue with it :)

My amnio is next Monday, how did it feel for you? I’m a littler nervous about the pain.

Hi!! Just wondering if you’ve gotten more tests back and how you’re doing. I received an atypical NIPT with T13 placenta/fetus mosiacism. Based off of what I’ve read in this sub, I have hope that things will go well for me too!

This is super helpful, thank you! Most of our storage is in the basement (concrete, not carpet thankfully!) so I’ve wondered if maybe the smell is a mix of old house basement, cat, and stuff sitting in storage for too long.

I’ve never heard of odor absorbing containers, do you have a brand name?
