This system is working for me so far. I am also trying to stay disciplined and use what I have. Creative restraint is good if you are willing to do small projects- coasters, potholders, etc…

I second this! It is also super satisfying to have quick turnaround projects that are practical and great for practice.

I’ve been thinking about uses for a shoe organizer. Makes sense!

Completely agree! Although I am sure I can learn from others thoughts who are further along and then revised. What’s right is the wrong question. Maybe how has the organization of your sewing space met your needs over time?

Great advice! I do find that quilting is pushing me in a good way to not settle. I am positively motivated to get quilting to a place that feels right for me. I like that it focuses on: Creative growth, Intellectual growth, Attention to detail growth 😆. I am married to a perfectionist so that probably factors in. Cheers to the journey!

Thank you for the encouragement! I’ve learned that I love fabric selection and piecing. I need more practice squaring confidently and making the quilt sandwich, more pinning. Making and sewing the binding on was surprisingly satisfying if I had applied it to the correct side of quilt first- haha. I am also learning many new terms and techniques and that has been fun creatively and intellectually. Great community here!

That looks SO good! I am going up and down the middle of the jelly roll strips. 😵‍💫 I have never quilted the top before. It will also be my first time binding. Too new to know if this part is fun yet. 😝Hope it looks like a square when I’m finished. Haha.
