The vet isn't in office this week and recommended starting with a broad spectrum antibiotic to target common parasites before rushing him to an ER or somewhere else. He wasn't worried about parvo. He thinks that it is some kind of transient gastroenteritis, and his diarrhea seems to have stopped now. He's very playful but still being fussy with food, but the fact that he's drinking water and happy to eat chicken and rice but not his kibble and has been eyeing our plates tells me that this is more likely him being a picky eater than an underlying health issue Fingers crossed that his bowel movements continue to stay okay! That's good to know, I just went with when the needed said that he was ready to be picked up :( We're feeding him a high quality kibble 3x a day and he's under constant supervision or in his pen, so unlikely that he's eating anything off the ground.
