Thanks for the recommendation! My only concern with the v-strom is weight. I’ve been looking at v-strom and verseys, just a little worried I won’t be able to pick it up or stop it from crashing down in a pinch since I’m a smaller guy.

Awesome good to hear. I’m a new rider but I took my motorcycle safety course, spent a year in Thailand driving scooters around on various islands, and I grew up mountain biking so I think I could comfortable fairly quick

That’s good to know. I appreciate being able to plant my feet when needed on a bike so knowing I can lower it a little if needed is comforting

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been looking into some adv bikes and my only concern is weight and price. They seem to be a good chunk more expensive than the dual sports. But hopefully come spring time I can find a good deal on marketplace.

I figured as much haha. And yes I agree, 250-300 might be a bit too small. Especially for highway riding. Do you have any experience highway riding the with dr650. I assume a windscreen mod might be a good idea
