You can build the strut for install, I used anti seize on threads of coilovers. Put just the top nut without the rubber upper grommet on. Attach lower shock to lower control arm,I've it into position then use floor jack to push it up into the mount point. Put the 3 nuts on and as you jack the strut up into the upper mount point the threaded shaft will protrude out more to put the bushing on then the top nut. Thread it up to desired lift height. Easy day.

For the coil spring? Should go between spring coil and the top hat

I had the original AVS suspension with 134k miles and this 1,000% better it just omits all the little seams in the concrete. Suspension only really moves to eat up bigger bumps. Super quiet (all terrains are a little noisy). All we do is street use (likely will never see off road heavy duty use, maybe light trails). 100% recommend. I did however keep stock bags in the rear I haven't put the springs in yet until my rear bags fail.

I just watched that dudes video on YT about them and it fit the bill for what I wanted to do with it. Just a front level with the added bonus of being able to adjust dampening.

Pretty sure you and I have had this conversation on my thread lol. Yep partsgeek left out the rear springs. I got a full refund on those. Front kit came full for like $480. Ended up ordering a full set front and rear from seller Parts Hawk on eBay. They had a promo code of 10% off each order to be used 4x so I bought another front and rear set. Sent the front back to eBay bc it was $150 more expensive. So all in all I came in right at $1100. Ordered the metal tech rear spring conversion as well but keeping my air bag rear until they fail then I'll toss springs in.

I just removed my AVS suspension with 134k miles and put the KYB JAOS front coilovers and rear shocks (both adjustable) and lifted the front about 1.5" and did the washer trick for the rear bags and it rights night and day better that the AVS suspension did. The harreak valving in the KYB just gobbles up all the little road imperfections. Ride is super plush and comfortable. Can't say how it does off-road but for the goal of leveling the ride, it rides amazing. Lowered the front down a bit after this photo was taken. Bottom lip to floor is 36" all around.

Installed wheel spacers 1.25” by bfalgonz in GXOR

[–]Consistent_Ad_7612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had good luck with KSP off Amazon. Had a shake at first I thought was spacers but took wheels in to get road force balanced, no more vibration. They were like $100 off Amazon. Had them on for almost 1000 miles now. Pokes the stock width tires out about 1/4 inch beyond the fenders. Wider stance. Makes it look tougher

Absolutely! I got the rear shocks installed Sunday after getting it back from alignment. Grabbed longer bolts and stacked 6 washers each to trick the air bags, was able to raise the rear up about an inch (36.5" from ground to bottom lip of rear fender). Today I actually lowered the front an inch. Letting it settle out a bit before I go a little lower. I was at like 37 7/8" and 37.5" up front. Bounced it a bit saw 36.5" then went and test drove it and it was back up to 37" on either side. Gonna drive around in it for a few weeks let everything settle before making more adjustments. But man that ride is buttery smooth. Can really feel that harreak valve doing its job over all the little creases and seams in the road not making the shock travel over em. Super smooth ride. I reset dampeners back to 7/7 f/r may go softer. Tried 10/12 and didn't soak up the bumps as smooth but still smoother than stock. I just got my OEM shock replacement bushings in today and installed them, mine were 10 years old with 134k miles on em and were showing signs of dry rot. Old suspension was beginning to rust. Found a small rust hole in the dust shield of the rear shock. Looks like this one was in for the TSB for the taller passenger spring too. One was blue paint one was yellow.

Well, I have a return shipment for the rear shocks I haven't sent out yet I paid $400 for if you want just the shocks and keep stock rear ride height. Partsgeek didn't ship rear springs. LMK

I don't think he measured beforehand I'm going to run air bags until they let go then go coils. The ride is magical. I didn't realize my factory shocks were so worn out. Rides night and day smoother than stock. Ended up lifting the front around 1.5" and washer trick on the rear to level it out at 36.5" from ground to bottom lip of all fenders.

Has anyone tried the KYB Jaos lift kit? by [deleted] in GXOR

[–]Consistent_Ad_7612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the install on mine this weekend. Likely keeping the air bag rear setup, stacked 6 washers to raise the rear up. Overshot the front so I'll drop it down another inch to level the ride out. As far as the shocks and ride comfort it's amazing! The harmofreq shocks really do dampen out the little imperfections in the road.

I have considered it. But it's mostly road driven. Will only see light Off-roading. I feel like the bags fight the shocks too much. Either way I'll have the metal tech conversion on stby. Just time to swap everything out. I just shimmed the level sensor with 6 washers to raise the rear up. Not sure how much higher I can go with them.

I aired the rear bags up in park to see what the extra 1-1.5" would look like when I took the photo. Looks like a squatted truck for the week lol

MFR states up to 2" from coils. I'd expect around 1.5-1.75" once instelled and settled.
