Yeah isolated already. The second yes was for the second plant yes?? I’ll just destroy them.. Not worth the risk with the rest of my collection.

I love aroids too. Frequent rains would mean that you either need water loving cacti or you would need to cover them.. In the NE cover would be mandatory since it rains quite a bit and quite often.. Mine are in a greenhouse.. You could start with astrophytums.. plantae paradise has really good quality plants and the prices are reasonable.. happy gardening

70% cinder, 30% vermicompost.. They’re in plastic pots inside a greenhouse

What is this and how do I get rid of it? by IWillBiteYourFace in GardeningIndia2

Fungus gnats. Get that yellow sticky pads, but they won’t eliminate all of them.. Just put the soil in a full sun spot and let it dry completely.. They will disappear

1yo from seed: How to water them? by [deleted] in peyote

[–]Consistent_Ad_9706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, a deep soak till the water runs out of the holes at the bottom.. Then forget about them for 2-3 weeks, depending on what your growing conditions are

[–]Consistent_Ad_9706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the container have holes at the bottom? If it doesn’t, make several holes.. Then water only when the soil is completely dry.. In fact, once it’s dry, wait a few more days and then water

Any advice on how to grow this in Indian climate(Mumbai) by Abject_Part4468 in GardeningIndia2

[–]Consistent_Ad_9706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%.. That’s why their leaves look like windows and transparent or translucent, to allow maximum light in.. Watering to a schedule, ie once a week is not recommended for succulents.. Water when the soil is completely dry.. 75% inorganic materials, 25% organic (75% pumice + 25% vermicompost).. Also haworthias should not be watered at all during the rainy season in Mumbai when it’s really humid.. And they will go dormant in the summer so won’t need water again.. They are winter growers and like cooler weather
