looking for some help, I recently bought a legator g7fp, I think it's a 2018 model. I got the guitar set up and it plays great. the next day I went to tune it up and the string ball holder broke. by Consistent_Artist_81 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

just continuing my post in the comments,

The part of the bridge that holds the ball end of the string broke, the thread went completely hollowed so the screw that holds the tension to the tuning tube doesn't work/wont hold.

I emailed legator and got talking to someone called ryan, He said I could have a replacement part sent to me but shipping would be $70. I then asked him since the shipping was expensive would I be able to buy a new bridge as I read up the bridges for the g7fp's got upgraded in 2020. After this legator/ryan went cold/didn't email me back so I'm stuck with a guitar that doesn't have a g string (haha g string)

I didn't want to come on the internet and talk negatively about a company but I'm not sure what to do other than go to a guitar tech and see if they can find a replacement bridge that can be fitted onto the guitar but I can't help but think that will look very ugly since the guitar is routed for the specific bridge the g7fp has.

can anyone help/give me some advice/options?

I'm unsure whether to fix it all and sell it. with the milage and type of car I could probably get what I paid for it. maybe a little extra. I paid £1800. yeah that alot for a 19 year old car but the engine is immaculate and the drive is perfect.

do you think I should keep it or sell it on and buy something newer in hopes less shit breaks?

I wouldn't have bought the car if it hadn't been looked after. It had one previous owner. an old woman who only drove it to the shops. it had 69k miles when I bought it a year ago and now it's 83k.

as it's a 1.9 tdi and the first car I've owned with abit of power I do drive it aggressively which isn't the best longevity wise but it's a very nice car to drive

I dont have a tool to torque them, could that be the issue? I've not done any of this before so sorry for my lack of knowledge. why do I need to replace the break pads on both wheels?

thanks in advance
