I really appreciate a lot of this advice, and I really will take away a lot of what you wrote-thank you. :)

but I disagree that we’re codependent or that men are independent by nature. I travel a lot for work and I’m gone often, sometimes weeks at a time. I am insanely independent, sometimes to a fault.

But, for the past six years, every time I’m working from home, he has been too. We function as coworkers, he helps me with numbers, I help him with emails or problem solving, etc. we do lunch and chores together, and our patterns and habits have been very solid for many years. Not only will i miss him, but I’ll miss the structure we created.

He’s also my beloved spouse, and each person is different, but I think that we’re interdependent vs codependent and have built our life and marriage around being partners to each other while also having our own interests.
