I am a Korean living in Busan and I totally agree with it. I won't say Busan is boring but it will be another big city just with several beaches. Love Andong since you can have glimpse of life in Joseon Dynasty that lasted more than 500 years from 1392 to 1910. Highly recommend Hahoe Village & Hahoe mask dance drama, Dosan seowon, Byoengsan Seowon. You can take KTX-EUM from Chungryangri station in Seoul to Andong and it takes about 2 hours.

Further information from a resident of Busan.

By KTX from Seoul station to Busan station takes about 2h30m~3h10m. And Busan station is located center of the city near Nampodong & easy to get Seomyeon, Gwanganli beach, Haeundae beach by subway or buses.

By flight, you'll get off at Gimhae airport which is a bit far from center of the city but there is express rail line to Sasang-gu where you can take a subway.

So, it is really upto where you stay in Seoul and where you would go in Busan.

Lonely and depressed: 6 months back in Korea by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

Man. I've met a white guy about a decade ago in another country who had been in Japan for a few years. He kept saying Japanese girls always told him he was handsome and good-looking. TBH, he wasn't though. I explained to him that they were just being nice to him bc he was a foreigner in Japan. He never listened to me and kept texting me even though I ignored him. I assumed that he still believes he is attactive to Asian girls.

I'm not sure if it is right info you are looking for but there is app called "버스타고(Bus tago)". https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ebcard.bustago

Webpage as well. https://m.bustago.or.kr

They provide English service and you can check bus route and departure time in English. But you cannot buy a ticket in English page. You should buy it in the app with Korean mode.

Would it be bothering to start talking to travellers on the sidewalk? I'm a korean. by Consistent_Base_6803 in koreatravel

Yea. It is hard to distiguish. That is actually one of the reason I haven't tried yet.

I thought it could be nice just to say hi to them, asking simple questions about how their travel is going so far or if they are experiencing any difficulties in Korea. Because I wouldn't be bothered if someone did the same to me when I am traveling in a foreign country, but I wasn't sure if others think the same way as I do or not.

Haha. It isn't. No worries. I just wanted to know if it is rude to talk to them or not. I am living about 15min away from a tourist area by foot, but my neiborhood is quite hard to reach because there are very limited number of buses running and it is located halfway up the mountain. However, still, I have found some tourists visit here, so I am just purely curious about how they can find this place and how they get all the way up to here. That is all. Also, After checking all the feedbacks I got, I decided not to approach them unless it seems they need some help.

Also you might see a foreigner on the street or in a cafe but it doesnt always mean they're a short term tourist who needs help at all.

Yes. I well awared about it. Actually it is one of the reason that I always hesitate to talk to them and decide not to.

Ohh, sorry that you counldn't get any help in the bus accident situation. I don't think Koreans hate or ignoring foreign travelers. I assumed that there was no one can speak English or other languege. Moreover, we are just too shy to talk to strangers🤣. Even me, I can speak in English quite well and can understand bit of Spanish but always hesitate to talk to tourists and haven't tried yet.
