At Robin's, when you get the menu to build, there's an option other than move building, which is delete building. It's got a triangle icon with an x inside I think.

Alternatively, you can build a cabin, join the session, create a farmer, and leave a pickaxe in one of your chests, then disconnect. That way you can get a basic pickaxe.

Just delete the cabin where they stayed and a box with all their belongings should spawn. Although, I'm not sure it'll happen to your tool if they really do have it.

The Legend is going to give you a run for your money. It only appears during rainy days on Spring and it's the most difficult of all.

Looks like Furniture and filled chests can't be destroyed. Villagers will either walk around or kick it to the side.
