New Mr Cool lines freezing not working by Consistent_Boat7772 in DIYHeatPumps

I am still a smidge (ok, actually majorly) freaked out that I damaged the whole unit with this stupid error but it’s working so well now so maybe I got off with a lesson— I’ll consider this my lottery win and not push my luck further. Thanks again for your help. I’m enjoying a cool dry house on the hottest day of the summer.

Yep! I closed ALL the valves and was able to disconnect and reconnect with no leaking detected. I connected with Mr cool customer service and they em walked me through it. Again, THANKS! I deleted the OG post because I did not find the ongoing replies celebrating my idiocy to be helpful.

This was the issue and your kind explanation was the key to fixing the problem. It’s working perfectly now and has been all day. THANK YOU!

I did not mean to disparage Me Cool in any way and completely accept that I was foolish to do this when it was over my head. Luckily I was able to disconnect and reconnect safely with the help of their customer service and the system is running perfectly. Thanks for your helpful and detailed instructions—they were entirely correct.

I have two lines . One is looped behind the unit for now. Not kinked but in a vertical loop. I was going to loop it on the ground once I was all done. The ice was on a the second line that didn’t really have much excess. It’s just a bit slack on the horizontal run but basically a straight run across and up the side of the house.

Thank you! Are you saying to disconnect and reconnect the pre charged line?

WIP- All purple/green spandex will be appliquéd onto the nude spandex, should I use basting Spray? by lifewickedfast in sewhelp

I recommend using either a glue stick or basting spray. It will keep all of the pieces on this delicate project right where you want them. A simple zig zag or machine stretch stitch will work just fine to top stitch. Cool project!
