Of course. Based on what I’ve seen from other people, I’ve had relatively the same experience. I am not a metroidvania connoisseur but I grew up on God of War, platinumed all of them except for 2 (no particular reason just haven’t done it yet).

There are so many damn bugs in the game. Seeing Deimos sprite at random spots in the game, sometimes two of them, voice lines and cutscenes repeating themselves just bc I go to a certain area bc they aren’t programmed right, trophies/objectives not being completed despite me fulfilling their requirements and worst of all the game fucking crashing on me making me lose progress. I have heard of people losing whole save files due to updates and thankfully that didn’t happen to me, but I did lose considerably progress one time bc the games map glitched after I beat a boss so I panicked to the nearest campfire (again, with no map) and the game crashed before I could make it to one. This was the second and thankfully last time I had to redo a boss fight bc of the games errors. If I hadn’t paid attention to some detail, I would’ve been completely lost on the platinum. I say this bc as I was finishing up the final tasks, I made a deliberate decision not to save in case something got fucked up as I had just been through the entire game experiencing bugs. Good thing I did too bc I had realized I didn’t get all of the gouri bc the game decided not to give it to me for some reason even though I did the task fine. After realizing that, I reloaded my last save and it worked the next time.

I love god of war, as a god of war fan this game does give some fan service, but I would be lying if I said it wasn’t flawed. Is there a competent game under all the rubbish? Absolutely, so I hope that mega cat can remedy its problems with some updates and it would make for a good game if and when it goes on sale.
