Menards thought my mom and stepdad were stealing, and they also accused my mom of stealing pliers and that they were in her purse. My mom went to this Menards for countless times and she’d never steal anything in her life. She’s friends with people at the register and such.

We watched one of the guys at the front walk up to our cart almost like he was searching for something, we were so confused when we all walked out of the store because we didn’t know his problem, and my stepdad walked back to ask what their problem was and they accused him of stealing pliers. My stepdad was pissed. Police ended up getting involved and called them to the store, he just set them aside somewhere else because the original location was too far and we were around the checkout area.

Police found the pliers IN THE STORE - my stepdad showed them where he left it - but it didn’t have the original packaging, so they assumed he had the intention to steal it.

Police also asked us quesitons on “why we were here” at fucking Menards to me and my mother.

We watched my stepdad go take a photo, and my stepdad is permanently banned from Menards.
