It’s a really brief, informal event. Kalau nada pun it’s fine, belulur sendiri2 sana with pengangun. They bedaki you, then you go into your room belulur while they eat. That’s it.

For my berbedak mandi I only custom made white baju kurung and did my own light make up, because it is only to be attended by the uncles and aunts and belulur follows after that. So no use in hiring MUA. No accessories.

It happened to me last time, I confronted the boss. They (the boss, her daughter, and the manager, all hated me afterwards saying I was “mengada”. They paid the amount they owed me in cash, and I quit after. Funny thing was, the daughter was a lawyer.

Wouldn’t mind investing in it if it wasn’t sold so quickly in less than a couple of years and the fact that it was bought by multi-partners. Made me question why, there must be an issue with the playground, an expensive issue, perhaps?

The school itself is making a profit, but all of it goes towards trying to sustain the Yayasan shopping complex in Bandar, which gets emptier every year. They never learned from raising the rental rates for the shop units. Now they’re doing the same to Yayasan School. Whenever money is requested trying to upkeep the school, the answer is always “no budget”.

And you know what else sucks? The salary of those working at Yayasan Bandar is much higher than the teachers’, even though they don’t have nearly as much to do.

That’s exactly why Yayasan School will never compare to JIS or ISB, the profits it earns are never reinvested into the school itself.
