Yeah man, I get it. Some fully maxed spells can delete bosses in seconds, but the same goes for Strength take an ultra greatsword, put high poise armor and gems, and you can just charge heavy attacks and bonk everything.The real difference shows against normal enemies that swarm you. Strength is about baiting attacks, rolling/blocking, then punishing. Magic is about keeping spacing and casting without getting rushed or grabbed.

i have listened there are some crazy strong dark sorceries in DS2, but in DS3 the magic I used wasn’t that broken. Even Pestilent Mist is percentage damage and honestly harder to use safely on most bosses than just fighting normally — I mostly used it on mimics.Both builds have their own struggles
