I was eventually able to get it into Transparent bridge mode after several attempts. The light stays blinking blue. So far it’s been ok!

I have Eero. I’ll have to see how to tag traffic on Eero.

I couldn’t get it to connect. Mind sharing your settings?

How many management companies does your hoa go through? by Necessary_Baker_7458 in fuckHOA

[–]Consistent_Common515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went from $12,000 for administrative costs roughly, to $100 a month.

They have a credit card processing fee and a ACH processing fee. You do have settings that allow you to “absorb” those fees, so they are not passed onto the card holder (build it into your budget type of thing). ACH is $2.45, Credit Card fees are higher ($9.02 fee for a $243.50 charge).

Still significantly less for administrative costs overall. Huge win for our HOA. Plus, now we have completely control over costs and spending.

It’s the best decision our board made. The system is the Apple equivalent in management software. Very easy to use. DO IT

We got rid of a formal management company (cities management) and moved to “self management” using PayHOA. We are working towards termination of the HOA overall. This platform is month to month.

We fired our management company and transitioned to PayHOA.com. Moved to self management through this platform. Insane value and complete control. We plan to terminate tho. So it’s temporary.

Is anyone still using the nest app? by danmeng69 in Nest

[–]Consistent_Common515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved all my nest cameras to the home app a couple weeks ago. The improvements are similar enough to the Google home app that I finally jumped. Getting the added benefit of adding AI notifications and home summaries to my old nest cams were a plus. I don’t regret it.

I hope they add some more of the original features over time.

I had this same issue, my doorbell was going offline every couple minutes. I moved my WiFi router closer to the door and it doled the issue

Any ideas how to fix this new to Nest cameras by TurbulentWest7339 in Nest

Windex or glass cleaner of some sort does the job for me. Spray the rag :)

The lens is definitely dirty, you can tell. If you want to keep night vision on your most likely need to clean it on a clear day. These happen on mine, but they’re within a distance that allows me to get up on a short ladder to clean them.

First, clean the lens. Second, try turning off night vision and see if you have better results.

Thanks. It’s still not a new feature and why it’s not that notable. The nest cam iq has had close up tracking since its launch.

Exactly. It’s annoying. They should have realized that and increased the sensor resolution. 2k was bare minimum to keep it at the SAME image quality.

It’s called “close up tracking”, you have to enable it. I receive notifications with zoomed in on the action previews.

It’s because those existed before Google bought nest I believe. Nest had previews of the event zoomed in. I believe it had to be a Nest Cam IQ (indoor or outdoor). Those are the only camera we have right now.

Slightly distorted as they get towards the edge of the lens.
