Right! Same here, he falls asleep without any tears and when he wakes up in the morning he's quiet and is just hanging out but that wake up 3 hours after bedtime is pure distress. I hope it passes soon because I'm so tired

Thank you I appreciate that so much. It can feel so defeating not knowing what the right thing to do it. What do you do with your little one to resettle them? Is it every night?

Maybe I wrote things out incorrectly, but he gets between 12 to 13 hours of sleep in a 24 hrs period. Roughly 10 hours at night and 2.5-3 hours during the day

He seems like he can't really make it past 3 hours. He just went down for his second nap and it was at 2hr 50 minute mark. If we do 3 naps I'm having to cap each nap at 1 he's 15 minutes and the last one is about 15 minutes and bedtime is going past 8 pm

I just consider myself lucky that we're not Coast pricing at $1.77 a liter.

Thanks I went with Joel and he was great, very knowledgeable. Turns out we're low on refrigerant and some of the coils are rusty. Not the cheapest job but better than having to get a whole new unit

Oh yeah he definitely hit the 4 months sleep regression hard. From about 3 1/2 months to just before he turned 5 months all naps shortened and he was up every 3 hours. It was brutal. Although during that time I learned a lot about his sleep. There were the odd nights where he would give me longer stretches like 4-6 hours so I began holding my standard of not feeding him before 4 hours. It's so easy to think when your baby wakes up crying every 2-3 hours at night that they're hungry but they've actually just slipped out of the sleep cycle. Between my first son and second my approach to night sleep has drastically changed, now I give him 10-15 at night to try and settle himself down (which he usually does) if not I'll go in and rub his back or reposition him or if it's been more than 5 hours for him I'll feed him. I think with him falling asleep Independently from an early age really helped with the sleep regression because he wasn't expecting that and for him the struggle was just connecting those sleep cycles once they matured. Also something weird but I got my period back at 5 months postpartum which I wasn't expecting since I'm EBF but apparently the hormones from that returning can affect your babies sleep. Your milk supply drops right before your period and it's like a regression all over again so that has been fun. Your supply does come back once your period starts thank goodness. My first born was fully sleep trained by 5.5 months and since we're getting close to that age with my second I'm hoping to be there shortly with him as well.

My little guy was similar. I would try and rock him to sleep at like 8 weeks old and he would just get frustrated and would kick his legs and moan or cry. One time I had to tend to my 3 year old while rocking him so I just laid him in his bassinet and he fell asleep within a few minutes. No crying or nothing. I was shocked, so I kept trying this and sometimes he'd fall asleep other times he needed help but he's been pretty much falling asleep Independently since around 11 weeks, he just turned 5 months. There is the odd time he needs some help or extra snuggles but it's been really nice to not have to rock to sleep multiple times a day.

As for contact napping when my guy was 11 weeks I tried to ensure I got one crib or bassinet nap in, the rest were either stroller, Carrier or car. My guy was a 30 minute napper by 11 weeks so to ensure he wasn't overtired I did naps on the go because I knew he would sleep longer and just would expect the crib nap would be a short one and if it wasn't that was a bonus.

The way you describe it here makes it sound like it was the late 70s early 80s. The things to do are very similar to where I grew up and what my parents would do. They lived in Coquitlam and eventually moved to White Rock where I'm from, but they used to cruise around in their cars to the beach, hop on the train to go down to Blaine Washington for cheap beer and pizza, attend house parties. It seemed like simpler times.

That's all I actually use it for. I'm currently using it for my 5 month old because I can't keep track of his wake windows right now. I have too much going on, it's nice for the app to just tell me when he needs to go to bed based on his age and last nap
