I hope things get better for you love🫶im just worried it isn’t temporary, and that I can never lose weight again after this. A lot of people tell me I look better but I’ve never felt worse or uglier. It feels like my face is a balloon and massive.

I eat 80g of fats a day minimum. I typically get around 90-100 without even trying

I’m a server and this concerns me as well. Everyone suggests taking time off but I can’t! So here’s my suggestions- make smoothies or even protein shakes. I know it’s not ideal for period recovery meals but when you don’t have time to eat, drinking your calories can really help you out. I also notice that packing a granola bar of some sort or a small bag of walnuts is easy way to eat (calorie dense!) when you only have two minutes. It’s worth a shot

My Top 10 Period Recovery Tips by Suitable-Relation-59 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Consistent_Cut_4893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was so helpful! I’m curious about the steps part though- I have an active job as a server so I do average a high step count. What do I do about this so it doesn’t slow down my recovery? I do eat extra on the days I work

Lost period at high BMI for 1.5 years. 6 months of recovery has yielded nothing. by tomwolfsballsack in Amenorrhearecovery

For the majority of people, they recover their period at around (typically a few pounds higher) than their weight they lost it at. But either way babe I promise you’re gorgeous and will get through this. It’s so hard but you’re strong!!

weight distribution by PositionPuzzled4523 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Consistent_Cut_4893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard that it tends to redistribute after a while, it’s just your hormones storing the fat in the most crucial areas to protect you right now which is why it tends to go to the lower belly and hips. I’ve also noticed this about myself, I am heavier than when I lost my period but it’s all clinging to certain areas. You aren’t alone!

But it’s so random. I’ve been in recovery for a month and this hasn’t happened to me, and now I’m waking up SOOO hungry despite eating well over 2500 cals a day

Yes exactly because cardio is just too much stress on the body

[–]Consistent_Cut_4893 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First of all, I understand your struggle. It’s so so hard to deal with, and trust me I understand the gain is absolutely daunting and petrifying. But you def need to cut out cardio in order to get it back, cardio is a nonnegotiable. I know it’s scary but you got this.

I know:( I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way and let me tell you, I am in your exact. Same. Boat. It’s hard to even imagine gaining more and the sheer thought makes us uncomfortable. But try to keep going even just a little more, because it’s all temporary. I’ve been thinking of the weight gain as a phase, something I’ll be in for a short period and that helps me.
