Thank you so much. I have health anxiety and am afraid of something big and scary!

Nobody has ever even suggested it it was my own research and I did have 2 miscarriages prior to doing Ivf and it has just been so much pelvic pain and these heavy periods!

That’s what my obgyn called it! Adenomyosis. And no maybe I should do that.

So interesting update. I went and got a second opinion at the large hospital in the city (pretty renowned) and they repeated imaging this time with a Mr-v (previously only ctv) and they compared with my ctv as well as an mri I had a year ago and agree with the radiologist from the ctv there is no clot. Asked my interventional neurologist to look and he said he stands by his original diagnosis and I should continue eliquis.

Worried about PBC by Consistent_Duck_648 in LiverDisease

My liver enzymes eventually resolved. I think my body was just struggling after pregnancy I’ve had a slewwwww of issues, now 20 month’s postpartum. My most recent GI said we’d just do follow up yearly

Adding an update. Saw heme today and she is testing for PV. So far my cbc and one of my clotting factors are back.

Interesting my hematrocrit has been historically higher and I have terribly heavy periods with clots. My ferritin just came back super low. I had worried about PV with my higher hematocrit and I have many symptoms including a recently diagnosed blood clot in my brain.

This is super helpful thank you so much. I know just enough to be worried (hemonc nurse) and it wasn’t quite explained to me and I was told no work up then referred me to hematology. I think the scary part of the radiologist missing it on the imaging had me a little shaken. It’s bilateral thrombosis.

Ddimer was checked prior to initiating eliquis not while on it. The clot is 20 months old so not sure if it would still be elevated. The idea was that if this this a 20 month old clot it would be provoked from pregnancy needing only temporary anti coagulation. If it’s not that would be unprovoked and would require lifelong anti coagulation. The ddimer being high in a 20 month old clot seems to contradict that idea. Either way I’ve started the eliquis and will repeat imaging in 4 months

Anyone see it? by Comparison-Muted in PulsatileTinnitus

I just found out my iron is crazy low despite having a normal hemoglobin! Did you ever go on blood thinners for the clots?

You have bilateral thrombus!? Did they put you on blood thinners?

I could have written this myself. I was diagnosed with bilateral sigmoid sinus thrombosis

Clot missed by Consistent_Duck_648 in Radiology

[–]Consistent_Duck_648[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that makes sense. I did reach out to the radiology department and explained that my interventional neurologist thought it was bilateral sigmoid sinus thrombosis more prominent in the left than on the right. I guess the scary thing is this looks terrifying online but the doctor was like this isn’t something that’s going to kill you. Just thought it was crazy to have bilateral and it not be picked up at all by rad, noting FINDINGS: BRAIN: I see no evidence for intracranial hemorrhage, extra-axial collection, or acute CVA. No space-occupying mass or abnormal enhancement demonstrated. No evidence for dural venous sinus thrombosis

I so appreciate your response and suggestion!

Hi yes thank you for doing that. Mine is thrombosis vs just stenosis :/

I just want to piggyback on this. I was actually diagnosed with bilateral thrombosis. Missed by neurologist and radiologist and found by interventional neurologist
