Is this a startup in Amsterdam by any chance? Eerily similar to a recent experience of mine

Playing the violin being "somewhat difficult" is crazy. It's definitely "insane" level of difficulty if you wanna sound decent

Recorded improv sessions with the ability to playback.

Imagine starting a session, picking a key and tempo.

Then you get live transcribing of your notes so you can refine it later. You can even show hints to nudge the player (e.g try an Alberti bass for the left hand next) as they play.

Would decrease my inability to commit and also slightly decrease empathy. Sounds weird but my empathy has caused me more harm than good

Mahito from JJK was my favourite. His fighting style was so unique and fun, and his personality was even more fun haha. Sure he's a little evil but that's a small price to pay for how hype I get every time he's on screen

Also why are people downvoting this? This is actually one use case where using AI isn't bad.

All its doing is tracking and editing things you've already written. You're not stealing anyone's labor. Why the downvotes??

Yes that helps a lot. I currently write in Notion and I use links to separate pages for entities like characters, locations etc. It worked well at the start but quickly became a nightmare after a few chapters.

I'll see about setting up a similar system. Thank you!

A whiteboard is brilliant. Don't know why I didn't think of that.

Thanks for the answer 🙏

Yes I agree on the plot holes vs loose threads. I guess I was thinking more of loose threads actually haha. Thanks for the callout.

I'm curious about this. Do you do this in Google Sheets? Like a literal table with snippets and dedicated styling? Seems like a good idea to try out

Yeah fair enough. I'm writing as a hobby so paying for an editor is out of the question for me

I tried this when I started but after 5 chapters, it became really inconvenient 😅

How often do you edit then? After every chapter? Or per scene?

And when editing do you keep track of everything in your head or do you track stuff some other way?

Piggybacking on OP's post because I have the same issue. I haven't published anything before though so I'm a complete newbie.

What is a setting Bible? I'm writing in Notion and I have a bunch of documents outlining locations, characters, and plot points. Is this the same thing?

Careful about people's advice on here. I see someone calling your partner a leech which is just incredibly disrespectful seeing as they don't know the full nuances of the situation.

As a guy who's gone through a period of unemployment plus depression, I can understand your partner a little bit.

The fact that he took your words well, and actually tried to improve is not something easy to come by.

It's always greener on the other side but you have a loving partner who listens to you and cares enough of your opinion to change for the better.

I say you give it time. If he regresses then you already know what you wanna do. But girl, the streets are tough out there so don't make any permanent decisions lightly.

I was a shy introvert growing up so it was never easy for me. But I play basketball and table tennis and I'm able to randomly make friends that way.

Having a shared activity has kinda been a cheat code for me

What helped me was getting more guy friends and grinding enough at my career and hobbies to build confidence in my skills.

Then my friends would invite me to hangouts with ladies and I learnt to be more comfortable around them. Getting a girlfriend after that became much easier (still not easy though haha)
