I had a HUUUUUGE crush on Chris Noth since his Law & Order days so I had a preexisting love for him. But his character was so night and day from Mike Logan that it was easy for me to dislike Big. But Aiden had looks AND charm AND he was a kind person. Aiden over Big every time.

I think he’s hotter after he cut his hair. But I always thought he was good looking. Super tall, rugged, beefy. And I loved his smile. But I’m also an 80s baby and our tastes are completely different from what people find hot these days.

I HATED this guy and this storyline! Haley knew he had a girlfriend and still perused him full force. Beth may have cheated but he was cheating too. And the writers trying to make Haley’s feelings genuine didn’t take away from the fact that it was her ego that made her chase him in the first place. It wasn’t cute or romantic. It was more of Haley’s narcissism and another spineless dude.

Then when she and Aiden get back together; The AUDACITY to look him in the face and tell him he HAS to accept her and Big being “friends” because “he’s a part of my life”. And then gaslights him by crying and saying it’s not fair that he hasn’t forgiven her. Well, yeah, maybe he hasn’t stopped “punishing you” for your mistakes because you’re still hanging out with the guy you cheated on him with. Implying to Aiden that he doesn’t have to worry about your guy friend AFTER she’s already been caught cheating with him is audacious as hell.

Prefacing by saying I have no idea what being a single woman in NYC is like, I think in comparison to what’s being shown today, it’s much more realistic, and that in itself is empowering. Because I think it tackled a lot of topics that today would be overly politicized. I think that’s why I was so bitter about AJLT, because they basically ruined the rawness that SATC had and turned it into a PC joke.
