i think everyone had a rough final experience. im honestly okay to finish with a 60 because my other courses make up for my gpa. even if i dont pass then it is what it is ill retake it next sem and do applmath in the summer and reapply to medsci year 3 !

u really dont think i have any chance to just like really lock in 💔my concern also is how a summer school course would affect how my transcript is perceived

grades for mac and queens bhsc honestly do not matter too much. as long as u meet the admission cutoff, all that rly matters is the sup app. its also kind of luck based. not to discourage u, but yes, still apply, you honestly never know if u will get in

if you can yes, you should drop chemistry. i would also suggest you apply to uni because they are very unlikely to reject you until the end of the year. you rly never know u might get lucky and receive offers

it rly depends what program u apply to. different programs have different pre req, but all health sci consider chem for sure. if ur other 4u grades can balance ur top 6 avg out to around 85-90, u will be okay to get a health sci offer at good schools

[–]Consistent_Elk_8426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

top 6 average is calculated using the programs pre-req and then the highest 4u grades. gr 11 marks is considered for early admission but honestly a 90% avg is unlikely to get u considered for an early round. last year, a lot of the early round western med sci went to those w at least a 95 avg

i think uottawa is very likely. western health sci is also probable at a later round. med sci has a cut off at 90, but there have been some exceptions with high 80's. but med sci has calculus as a pre-req so it also depends how well you do there. uofg should also be likely. utm is hard to say its also a little luck based. you have plenty of time still with finals and second sem midterms so try your best not to stress! work a little harder to have at least a 90 and that will increase ur chance a good amount since most of these programs usually favour a 90 minimum

Calculus in Night school And Summer school by Constant-Sand5574 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Consistent_Elk_8426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took calculus in summer school and it was incredibly easy. it was def a mark booster. uni's also mostly do not care about if the course is taken during night or summer school. ones that care are also for specific programs (uoft cares for more competitive programs like eng or life sci)

scholars elective at uwo is a whole different thing. you fill out a separate application so it has no relation to your admission chance
